Firey Dragon Swords

I've noticed that Firey Dragon Swords automatically come with the "Fire Damage" mod. What would happen if you, say, put a Shocking or Icy Sword Hilt on it? Just curious.

You can't But you can salvage the fiery sword hilt from them.

They come with fire dmg because the blade of the sword is a flame. you cant really have a flame doing cold damage. So thus the reason that you cannot upgrade the hilts off them. and salving the firey hilt can and cant be a good idea. while having a regular blade do fire dmg in some areas is nice, in other areas it screws you. and they dont sell to other players for much.

Yeah I thought about that when I first started too.
It'd be nice to see the orange flame turn to blue ice with smoke (?) or something.
Or white with lightning running over it like the storm bow.
Ebon would probably just turn it into a piece of shit.

Yeah, that's what I thought might happen too. But I guess they can never change... would be cool if they could, though. Oh well, thanks for all your help.

Ebon would turn it into a peice of shit lol! yeah imo i dont think adding elemental damage is worth it...since it doesnt count as physical damage and many spells are focused on physical damage especially necro spells. also i dont think using that upgrade spot for elemental damage is worth it....get like another upgrade that might help u much more....
