Hi, I've been browsing eBuyer since after Techie's help from reading his Video Card guide, and I am trying to find the best card with 256mb video card ram.

But also the cheapest, but one that works nicely and smoothly too with nice FPS and such, so tell me, what do you think is best?

Sapphire Radeon X800 PRO 256MB DDR AGP x8 TV-Out DVI-I Lite Retail Box

^ Looks decent to me...

Gigabyte GV-N66256DP 6600 256MB Silent pipe AGP
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=92142
^ I'm positive, that is the best one and cheapest?

Ebuyer Extra Value PowerColor X800 Bravo Edition 256mb 256bit PCI-E dual DVI VIVO
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=96413
^ Not sure if that's good..?

XFX GeForce 6800 GT PCI-E 256MB 256bit GDDR3 DUAL DVI/TV-out
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=85870
^ Hmm...just over £200, if it is the best, not sure if I would get it...

Just a minor warning about heat pipes: If turned upside-down, they stop working correctly. This is a known issue with reverse backplane mounts on certain ATX cases. Go for a standard air-cooled set up if you're looking for lowest price.

The 6800GT gets my vote in the given list.

You'll likely get the most bang for your buck out of the 6800GT, simply because it has the most staying power of the cards on your list. Be careful, though, because 256MB of GDDR3 will be awfully toasty.

Choosing between 6800GT or the Sapphire X800GTO 256MB ( http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=97159 )

I'm very pleased with the NVidia 6600GT. It was a great price and is very powerful, runs games smoothly at their highest settings. GW is easy, but it also runs BF2 on high settings, a very demanding game.

I second the nVidia 6600GT. It runs all my games very well, even DoD:S, all at almost half the cost of a 6800GT.

I vote for the 7800. For a 350 card, you can't find better!

For vaule I would go with the Nvidia 6600 and only go to the 6800 if you could afford it.

I strongly feel the 6600 is the best vaule.

Lews, that's not an option.

And yeah, I think I'll get the 6600 GT, maybe 6800, but probably 6600.

Thanks guys.

You did not have the ATI X800XL in your list. It is better then the X800pro. And it is not that expensive for a 16 pipe card.
