I'm sorry, but this is just making me angry.
Original ideas are HARD TO COME BY. There are VERY FEW GOOD original ideas. Why? BECAUSE IF THEY WERE GOOD, SOMEONE WOULD HAVE USED THEM. I have no trouble believing this is the OP's idea. Just because something sounds like it was pulled out of another game DOESN'T MEAN IT WAS.

Too much like a N/W assassin...
Well not so many people have been using N/W since they sliced its ability to sneak in and 'assassinate' in Guild Battles.
The shadow is a similar idea to minion.
Seeing as the only skills you have created are in this 'Shadow Mastery' attribute I can't see how you can make the scythe and giant sword mastery differ much from warrior skills.
Some of the controls of the shadow I like but overall most of the skills and attributes you have created seem to be adapted from the other professions.

I kind of like the idea of making a mirror immage of an allie. I haven't personally heard that one before (though I don't spend that much time in the Sanitarium)/
The Son Of Morgoth
Hmmmm sounds a little like a necro but more like a combination of all the classes...............

okay i have an idea. When you become an N/W or W/N you could choose to focus on necro or war or become a Shadow Master but you'd have to do quests and challenges.
WHen you became a M/R or R/M (something like that)you could focus on ranger, mesmer or Rogue.
It would be like combining both but you o=could still focus on your primary and just use your secondary as a boost.
Also you could combo each proffesions. Like MO/W could be Divine Warrior

I fail to see how this sounds anything like Necro. The 2 use "dark" powers? So what? Warrior and Ranger both use physical attacks, doesn't mean they are the same.
It is almost impossible to do anything 100% completely original in a RPG/MMORPG. Everything in every RPG has become cliche` by now. I repeat, almost everything has been done before in an RPG.
This is the closest thing you can get to an "original" profession. Please, dont tell me you think Warrior/Necromancer/Ranger/Monk(see:Cleric) are original? Don't kid yourself. Guild Wars is not original. I'm more concerned about having a profession that adds fun and variety to the game rather than "originality".

Wheez
Love the idea of shadow master, especially another up close style profession. Might sound like a necro but it mostly looks like som other profession like his 'rogue' looks like a ranger. Edit: didn't read it well so the 'rogue' idea is ok to altho u should have gotten ur own post =-).
thirtypercent
the major differences between this and a necro is:
1) no hexes at all
2) no spells all skills except several summon spells.
3) does not require a corpse to summon a shadow
4) higher defence lower energy regen.
5) only one shadow can be summoned whereas a necro can call many minions.
6) canot steal health
7) have more control over the shadow than the necro having control of the minions.
and list goes on..

No matter how much you edit this it's still gonna sound like a mixture between a necro, a warrior, a ranger - and wait, the other classes too.

also,
a ranger does not influence the damage and health of the pet unless it has rank in beast mastery.
as for a shadow master, the amount of damage dealt and the amount of health is directly proportional to the masters'.
and most players in pvp right now either use pets just for them to die or stand way back and smite on the pets or just get energy through the pet. people seldom use their pets to fight along with them primarily.
for a shadow master, shadow will definitely be prominent and of more significance. they deal damage together with the master.

Great, so now you can just take a team of 8 shadow masters to tombs, make it 16 and whoop iways and all the other teams out there
Well maybe 7 shadow masters and 1 healer, or 6 shadows and 2 healer. In any case it's a bit too powerful.

hmm ok, that ends my worries, but look at these two teams.
Team 1=6 iway warriors, with pets, and two order necros
Team 2=6 shadow masters, with shadows and two order necros
Shadows are still stronger than than the pets, but perhaps the shadows would get kinda beaten in the battle. The pets are out of the equation, so we have
iway wwarriors, order necros - shadow masters, two order necros, remnants of shadows
I'm not sure who would win, shadow masters or warriors, but looking at if they are equal then the shadow team will probably win.

what do u guys think about the giant sword skills i added?
pagansaint
King, except that IWAY only works on dead allies.
A shadow is summoned, like a minion, hence no corpse, no ally'd health bar. No IWAY trigger.
Orders base off physical damage. Like he said....
Which helps pets but not the shadows.
That makes it even more attractive in ways, since it compensates for the increased damage from the shadow to keep it from being ungodly powerful.
Solid contribution as far as player made classes go, keep working up some skills for it, most attributes have 20 some skills each

For ALOT less time.
Thats like running only W/E or W/Mo with IWAY. Efficiency and power goes WAY down.
