Eh, here we go:
1. Anything that stacks regularly is great to keep, anyways, to keep building stacks of it. IE: I have stacks and stacks of crafting materials, and stacks of orr embles, stome summit badges, and things of that stackable like. They are your friends, and in a tight spot <what I do, I put them in storage> and pull em out when I need a pinch of cash. How to know? Use the Vendor prices for mats and stuff, and then reference it against the trade channel. It's not real accurate; rather this allows you to get a general feel.
2. Imho, seeing as you can't salvage mods out of a collectors item, unless they pose a great boon to your classes, I don't use em. At all. Except for the 15>50 and things like that on collectors. Sell the rest, as if you wanted to mod them and sell, it won't work. They also take up space. If you're really concerned here, just sell them, mark down where the collector was, and go back and get it. It's not like he's going to be moving! Har har.
3. Runes vary in what you should keep. Most minors in everything are super cheap; I'd liquidate these first. Major is worth taking a peek at if you got a Maj. Vigor and Absorption. Rest, you can sell either to rune trader or Player Characters. Superiors; here's where you want to hold onto em, never know when the market fluctuated which way sup runes are heading.
4. I love these scrolls in groups you are farming with. Other then that <unless you're in a mission> scrolls, Imho, are worthless. They're really meant for level 20's that need the extra exp so they purchase em to EXP Farm for a skill point. I never really used them during the content of the main game; you level quite fast enough as it is.
5. Weapon upgrades if they're potential to be sold or used by yourself, keep. Others like a furious sword hit with double adren on hit <chance: 2%> it's usually vendor fodder. Think..what would you use, when might you use it, and if not, try to sell them. I've made 30k off mods myself. Just need to know when to play the market. 10/10 Sundering stuff is in now, so eat your heart out :P Weapons themselves, unless total relevant to you/your alts should never take up space in your storage, and should always be on the character the weapon is meant for <heck, 2 spaces in the bottom bag of [F9] ain't going to break your storage capabilities.
Hope this helped.
