I though it would be cool to get a single skill slot in your skill bar that you can assign to any profession. For example you could have a single mesmer spell if you were a Warrior Monk. This would only be one slot and would have a penalty for changing it. You couldnt just go and buy a skill, it would function like the cignet of capture does but instead of using it on bosses you can use it on players. The only way you could change the skill again would be to use another cignet in your skill bar that deletes the old skill until you capture a new one (or just replace it with a skill of your profession).
Basically I though it would be cool if people got the diversity of a single skill from any class no matter the build. I think the most fun I had was hunting down elite skills and thought it would be good to have something like that again. Also it would add some kind of personality and uniqueness to each player that’s slightly different and would be enjoyable to find that skill that gives your build an edge.
Anyway just a thought
Cignet Of Capture Player Skills??

So you capture a skill from a mesmer.. then what? You do the lowest dmg you would with that particular skill as you have NO attributes from that profession whatsoever. Ok.. so you could solve that by adding attribute for that particular skill. But then people will ask for 3rd profession and etc.
I say this is pointless. It won't be any different that it is now. So called personality and uniqueness to each player already exist. Everybody use skills that suit them, unless someone bases it on someone's profile posted on the internet. So this won't give your build an edge whatsoever.

You wouldn't have any attributes to support it though so the only ones to use really would be ones like Succor, Watchful spirit, remove hex, etc that aren't really affected by attributes.
If there were some inate attribute level that came with it, say 10, to make a wider range of skills useful then you could have casters with multiple energy regen options, say a monk/mesmer with energy drain and Offering.
I think it opens up too many balance issues.
