ruby were or how?

i was wunderin how or were to get a ruby?

in the underworld. no clue why b/c to my knowledge anet has not made them useful in any way shape or form.

you can get them from anything that will drop a granite slab.

granite slab
lump of charcoal
saphire
ruby

i got a saphire from a stone elemental (level 3) once

uw/fow is the usual place to get rubies
had a bladed aatxe drop one the other day

I heard that if you salvage frozen hearts or flaming hearts that you can get them, or maybe I read it in the prima guide but anyways I heard that from somewhere.

lol... prima guide says u can salvage ectos from remains and that u can also salvage ectos from mobs armors lol

The prima guide says you can salvage ecto from ghostly remains which is true, the nolani academy bonus, where you kill the ghosts and get ghostly remains, if you salvage those you can get ecto but its very rare.

My old guild leader told me this after he tried it about 10 times and got one but I tried a few times and never got one, so I figured it would be easier to go to UW and get one faster that way. Also I just remembered that not long ago a ruby droped in FoW for me from one of the dragons.

Meh great waste of time unless you want an inventory full of Glittering Dust.

i jsut found a ruby in uw. Never found one be4, but an aataxe dropped it.
