Hi. Ever since I started playing GW with my R I've always thought long swords looked amazingly cool and uber. I'm now a W/Mo and have been searching for one since the word go.
Now here's my problem; I can't find a long sword. Well not a proper one... I have loads that are called long swords visually they are other swords... I've visted all the Collector's that have long swords but to no avail.
Can someone please send me in the direction where I'll be able to find a long sword... or a place where they drop more frequently than others?

Just wondering how far you are into the game. The griffons in my experience dropped them with some frequency (actually where I got my current longsword).

some long sword quest items have different skins (one looks like a crystaline sword).
you can try those out, but i dont know which ones...

There is a weapons smith in Draknor's Forge. He will craft you a Long Sword 15>50 for 5k + materials. I am not sure if this is a weapon that you can add upgrades to or not. If so, then this will serve you quite well.

and yes u can add upgrades on it and u dont feel bad when u customize it personally I love it

I would buy one from the sell forum but as we all know, gold doesn't grow on trees, and if it did people wouldn't need to sell stuff to get money.
I'm currently at Augrey and am henching my way to Ascension. Iceman, the long sword at Droks isn't the one I'm looking for
but thanks anyway.
I'll take some henchies and go kill some Griffons and see if I can't find a long sword. And when I'm lvl20 I'll go solo farm Griffon's

The long sword that loooks like a crystaline is a quest reward in Ascolon area cannot remember which quest... not sure if they actually drop that way...

you get from pitney for the Prize Moa Bird quest, I used it until someone GAVE me a FDS for free mind you it wasnt max...

The thing I have noticed with long swords....If you change the hilt on it..let's say you upgrade it to a zealous...it changes the look of the sword...It'll still called a long sword..but it looks like a short sword. That's what happened to me. Unless of course you're looking for the one from pre which looks like a crystalline. In which case I don't know where you can get another one. Don't know if this helps you or not...
