Lets try this again, as I think I've expressed myself poorly.
I don’t think it fair that, when I pay full price for a storage box it's not completely empty. In my case it was half full of stuff that my other character put in storage, who BTW, also paid full price.

You're paying for Access to the box for each character. You're not buying a brand new box for each.

I was actually extremely surprised that I had to pay the 50g when I tried to access my storage box on a new character. I'm not saying it's a big deal, it just doesn't make much sense. If it's linked to an account, logically, you should only pay once. Just my opinion.
