Can you dye the actual flame on the dragon sword????? A friend of mine said he saw someone with a sword that looked identical to the dragon sword but had a purple flame (no it was not like the chaos axe)

Can't be dyed but, as it turns out, the flame can come in at least blue, if not purple as well. See this thread:

no, you cant dye the flame on the sword, i have dyed dragon swords many times and only the handle changes, i have seen the threads about the blue-flame dragon swords, and if they are real, they didnt get that way from dye

I dyed one of mine and the flame seemed to lose part of the blue on an IDS. I think I used a green on it and the sword itself in inventory turned purple.
Have had thoughts of trying to take the flame off with color combo after this but never tried.
