Farming

Hey, Im new to these fourms and don't know where to really post this.

Anyways, people talk about farming in this game. Now I play WoW (World of Warcraft) on occasion, and in this I know the term "farming" means to go kill a bunch of mobs until you get an item of desire. In Guild wars, when I think of that, I have no idea what it means. How do you know which mobs drop what? Where is a good place to farm? How do you do it? I have never farmed in this game before, so if someone could throw me some help, I would appreciate it. And another thing, when you farm in this game, do you take henchies? Thanks for the help!

Yeah.. something like that. Although alot of people say Henchies ruin the drop rate and the loot ratio but I don't seem to have any problems while farming with Henchies :s
