Where do you get this collector shield?

The "Crimson Carapace Shield" i think its called...req 8 tactics +45hp -2dmg...can someone please tell me where to get it, it would be much appriciated. TY!

Hmmm, wiki is still down and is an excellent source. Try also collectors in/just outside the towns in the jungle as one of them has one also.

Are you wanting the +45 health and -2 damage.......while hexed or in stance?

And its req 9 not 8

You can get the shield (while hexed) from a collector, but the (in stance) shield has been removed from the game...from what I understand. Oh wait you can still get one, you just need 5 bleached shells.....GOOD LUCK FINDING THOSE!!!

The stance shield is still available in teh desert, you'll need bleached sells....im none too sure of this however.

they took this collector item out of the game
its now worth alot of gold

they moved it to the collector in lions arch by the beach...
it has all the same stats, but... now its armor +9 not 16.. so... NERF'd

Really? I heard it was gone....but then i heard it was still there, they just made it nearly impossible to get, because bleached shells are few and far between

Heck, I dont even know what monster to kill to get bleached shells, i think a devourer or desert spider

the sheild is still in the game ... they removed the +45 -2 while enchanted at release. The stance sheild is still very much available.

Where can you get the stance sheild?

I haven't seen the carapace -2 but I've got a gold tower shield 16al, -2 while in stance +?? health req 8 strength. I love the fact that it goes off strength instead of tactics.

Damn all these noobs who say in stance shields are gone! I got my shields through bleached shells only, even pre-update. Buying/getting those shells are so hard... especially with the prices now.

You kill the Wurms in the desert to get bleached shells. The collector for them is north of Thirsty River, past the teleport. Pretty easy to get to.

After having gone through this exact chain of confusion and mis-information, I will provide this summary as my personal experience (some of which is already posted but I will include for the sake of completeness).

1. There is no max (AL16) -2 +45 enchanted COLLECTOR Crimson Carapace Shield.
2. There are 3 max (AL16) -2 +45 collectors, 2 in the Crystal Desert and 1 in South Shiverpeaks, they offer 2 hexed and 1 stanced shield
3. I have just recently helped two friends obtain the stanced shield, the collector is near Thirsty River and takes Bleached Shells (not Carapaces).

There is the Malinon Shield which is max AL -2 +45 enchanted, it can be bought anywhere from 50-100k.

As an alternative also (more for running than for fighting), there is a non-max -2 +45 enhanted collector shield (AL 14 or 15?) that only has a 8 tactics requirement. The collector is in the Maguuma Jungles

I've purposely not named any specific locations because I think part of the fun will be for you to do the research and find them. It gave me a good week of in game activity that I would not have had otherwise.

Oh yes, I do have each and every one of the shields mentioned in this post now so it is completely backed up with evidence and you can take these as facts.
