killing mirror with monk

i am a mo/me lvl 19 and i can not find a way to kill the mirror image, its almost impossible

right now im using bane signet, banish, smite, symbol of wrath, pacifism shielding hands, channeling, spirit of failure

at the begining i run up to him and cast symbol of wrath, then banish and smite (while he is casting all the enchanments and suff) then i try to knok him over when he attacks with ban signet, then i use pacifism and run around for a few seconds while he cant attack, then right before it end i cast banish and smite, symbol and bane havent rechaged by then, and then i die, he does aobut 70 damage per shot to me, and i do almost none, i have managed to get him down about 2/3s of the way

(thhe lest 3 spells are to distract him in the beginning


please suggestings

Any got any strategies on this? Im having loads of trouble, thanks! Please feel free to discuss them too

what's your secondary?

if you don't have one (hahaha), go heavy smite imo

try using non healing spells and sword him to death. or just smite.

I'd hit him with Backfire right off the bat and follow closely with Shatter Enchantment [lost enchantment + lots of damage] and Power Drain [regain part of that 30 mana you just spent].

Did Clone today as a 19 monk/mesmer. I put points into Domination and Illusion magic....started fight off with backfire + empathy and then kept Phantasm on him...energy spike him if backfire wears off and he tries to heal

I've found that heal area can help out- don't give the mirror any other healing skills, but let it use heal area- that will help keep you healed as much as him, and if you need to heal extra, you can back out of range and cast it without healing your mirror.

For a Mo/Me, possibly put some points into illusion and use pacifism along with some health degeneration skills- the health degeneration won't end pacifism, and pacifism will keep your mirror from attacking you for quite a bit of the time.

Generally you'll most likely have to invest attribute points into either smiting or an attribute from your secondary profession in order to beat your Mirror Self with a monk. Don't bring much in the way of healing, or you won't be able to kill your mirror, unless you bring a lot of disruption.

I'm having serious trouble too. I'm a Monk/Necromancer with blood magic. I can't injure him at all. This sucks.

if youre a mesmer secondary, load up with domination spells and insp spells. max domniation attribute points. have a good timing. you can beat him in less than a minute or 2.

any others? im gonna try and make a guide for this for every class

I maxed out Divine Favour and took just two skills, Balthazar's Sprit and Divine Boon.

Make sure you cast both on yourself and recharge energy before you go in. Then start attacking him/her, and keep re-casting Divine Boon to heal yourself. If you manage the timing of your heals well you should beat him/her comfortably.

i heard this works well... kunt0r was able to beat his mirrior in 20 seconds with it...

Run up and hit him with a melee weapon, cast retribution on yourself, and just cast healing breeeze one yourself ever 4 or 5 seconds

the mirrior monk just kills himself

My guild mate suggested this.

Load your skill slot with enchantments that don't help casters at all, then bring Shatter Enchantment. The mirror will hopefully cast the enchantments on himself and you can shatter them.

i jus beat it as mesmer/necro....what i did was put 2 spells in my bar that sacrificed health w/o causing any dmg to me or healing him, i started off the battle using backfire, then shatter enchantment, then power spike...waited for a bit, then physical resistance, then empathy to finish him off....sacrifice spells did him in.
