Compound names always work when finding names. My Elementalist is Tegan EarthBender. Something with relevance to his class, you never can go wrong IMHO. Plus..Earthbender...just sounds cool.

Well theres my 2 cents

If you play PvP, I would suggest avoiding a name that tells your enemy just what skills (based on your primary attribute) you will be using against him or her. So I wouldn't name my elementalist something that suggested any particular element (Air, Earth, Fire, or Water). Besides, you may start off as a fire elementalist, then switch to air or some other element later, and wouldn't want to be stuck with a 'flaming' name. Plus, even though this is just a video game, it just seems rather 'unrealistic' for a person to have such a name.

My personal preference is to treat all of my characters as members of the same family. Pick a last name that you like, then for each of your four characters choose an appropriate first name to go along with it. I often grab a dictionary for another language, such as Latin, and skim through it looking for foreign sounding words that have interesting meanings.

As a silly example, here's a good non-element-specific name for a male elementalist:
Orbis Lacteus (It means 'Milky Way' in Latin, as in the galaxy.)
Then maybe later if you decide to make another character, say a female necromancer:
Cocoa Lacteus (Roughly translates as 'Chocolate Milk')

Hope that helps!

I'm very unoriginal...I choose names of historical and literary characters I admire and (sometimes) adapt them.

My elementalist likes to try them all. So if I chose a name that suggested a particular element, 1/4 of the time it would probably be correct.
