Random newb questions

I found some stuff and was wondering what i should do with them.

Mesmer rune of minor fast casting

Sword pommel of warding

Zealous bowstring bowgrip of marksmanship

Staff warpping of fortitude

All of those said Item unlocked when I ID'd them. Should I sell them to the merchant? and another question is, how do runes work?

Last question is, how much dmg do fire hilts do? some guy was selling one for 600 and was wondering if i should get that.

if you sell them, sell them to players not NPCs... you'll get more money for them. if you are a war then the sword ponnel will work for you...

After you ID the item, you need an expert salvage kit to salvage the upgrade component. once salvaged, you can use the component to upgrade your gear.

a firey hilt does not technically do more damage. it only changes the base damage on a sword from physical to fire. that sword will end up doing more damage to things that are resistant to physical, like warriors, or weak to fire, like maybe ice elementals. it will do less damage to things resistant to elements, like rangers, or resistant to fire, like pyromancer elementalists.

I have a random n00b question: what mission do I need to do in order to get the Monk Ressurect skill?

I play a Warrior/Monk, and I'm being asked, in every group, if I have a rez. I do not.

It makes me sad.

Sideways: I'm not sure, but I think you get a quest from grahzden ( i'm probably wrong) and as a reward you get the res skill. I'm really unsure about who you get it from, i have it on my w/mo but forgot who i recieved it from.
