A lot of people are saying they want more melee classes and stuff because nearly everything is about spellcasting at the moment so i came up with this.
I know my previous ideas have gone down like a french kiss at a funeral but hey, second time lucky.

the scrapper is a fast melee fighter who uses a quarterstaff or his bare hands (maybe with brass nuckles or something cool like that)
He or she does not do a lot of damage but can attack at speed and avoid damage while moving.
their skills are based around diverting attention away from healers and spellcasters, more efficiently than warriors, with taunting skills to automatically pull an enemy out of combat and target you instead.
Their armour would not be nearly as tough as a warriors but they have a passive increase to their movement speed making them good at dodging in and out of combat and hitting the enemy where it hurts.

Attributes:

Primary = Swiftness: For each point attributed to swiftness your movement speed is increased by 1% and you gain a 2% greater chance to evade attacks while moving.

Courage: No inherant effect. Increases effectiveness of skills used to infuriate enemies and disrupt combat.

Fist Fighting: Increases damage done when no weapon is equipped or when using brass knuckles* and increases the effectiveness off barehand skills.
*maybe.

brutality: Increses damage done when weilding Quarterstaff and increases effectiveness of skills used to damage enemies.

Skill examples:

Infuriating shout:Target enemy automatically begins attacking you. If that enemy was using a skill it is disrupted and disabled for 5-15 seconds.
5 energy 25 sec recharge. attribute: Courage

Winding blow: melee attack. if this attack hits, taret foe takes 5-15 more damage and is crippled for 3-10 seconds.
5 energy 15 sec recharge. attribute: brutality

Tell me what you think but please keep the flaming and threats to my sexuality to a minimum.

Its not that bad. The skills definitely need tweaking though...i mean with the primary the way you have it you could be moving 80% faster always. that is just horribly unbalanced...it takes everyone else out of the picture. warriors couldnt catch you...rangers would have a hard time hitting you at a distance. Also on the same lines you are giving them a 7% evade per point? think about that. that means at 16 you would evade 112% of the time. can you say unbalanced. I mean with the skills changed a little it might be alright but right now they only you changed from the basic warrior is that you gave them a staff, lower armor, and able to run faster than anyone else could possibly think about moving. nice try but lets have Anet come up with these things, they understand the mechanics and balancing issues way better than we do here.

I've seen a lot of comments/requests to make you the target but think about what that does to you on the receiving end. You're attacking a monk and suddenly you are running over and attacking someone else, without you being the one to chose that target. This is a good thing?

Even in PvE the monsters get to use the same skills as players and there are often more of them. Fighting a group of "Scrappers" your whole team could be bounced from one to another and thus not get to use any skills, not to mention those attempted being disabled.

Swiftness: The speed increases would have to be like 1% per level and 2% evade. They would still have to stop to use any skill or attack. So just running around they are hard to hit except of course by attacks or spells that never miss.

yes i think you are both right about the attributes and recharge times on the skills, i'll have to reconsider that. thanks for your input
