I have a question here concerning this combo, Server Arterey/Gash. If you hit an opponent with Server Arterey, he begins bleeding WITH 3 degen. If I hit him with Gash, does he now have more than 3 degen or just 20% lowered health?

Each inflicts a condition, and each condition is independent of the other.
The target will have 3 degeneration and 20% lowered max health, along with 20% reduced healing.

Bleeding and Deep Wound are two different conditions.

I'm sure GwG has a conditions list, but here is the site that I go to.
http://www.knights-templar.com/conditions.htm

Bleeding causes health degeneration of 3, which is 6 damage a second. (caused by sever artery)

Deep Wound lowers there maximum HP by 20%, and reduces healing by 20%(caused by Gash only if they are bleeding first). So if there maximum HP is 500, 20% of it is 100, so 400 is now there maximum.

Thanks, and it's a stupid question I knew, but my friend said it caused 6 degen total when it only causes three. Thanks guys, as I now get my 10 dollars from him!

No, it wasn't really a stupid question. But you could have read the skills to find out yourself.

Sever/Gash is scoffed at but a sword doesn't have much choice in terms of condition spiking.

Deep Wound I think is essential for EVERY WARRIOR trying to do damage. Since every weapon can do it, there's no reason NOT to bring it.

If you want to spike someone, taking away 20% of their healing and max hp is ESSENTIAL...

We did, and he still didn't believe me, so I took it here to prove 100% false.

There is a potential reason, and it's a very good one: other warriors on your team. Let them inflict the deep wounds, while you focus on things swordsmanship does well.
