I get them to around near dead before dying, I have a nice build for Griffon Farming on my W/Mo, but I need skill points on my E/Mo.
This is what I'm using at the moment. Please help me improve it without dying.
Balthazar's Spirit
Mending
Zealot's Fire
Healing Hands
Balthazar's Aura
Symbol of Wrath
Healing Breeze
Reversal of Fortune
Soon as I go out, I cast Balth's Spirit and Mending, before I get to the main spot of Griffs and such, I cast Zealot's Fire, gather around 4/5 (my def gets hit quite a bit), then I cast Healing Hands, then Healing Breeze, then Balth's Aura, Symbol of Wrath, then spam RoF, after spamming RoF around 3 or 4 times, there all almost dead and I die before they do...
Help me do this better?
Problem Griffon Farming with an E/Mo

You do not have any skills to help protect yourself. As in nothing to stop the damage. I suggest having mist form and whirlwind. That way you can switch between those 2 skills with healing hands. Whirlwind knocks them down, by the way.
Using RoF isn't so great, only because it stops one guy from hitting you. And I suggest not using zealots fire, and switch it with something else.

Wrath Of Dragons
I do this all the time, just remember to avoid rockshots. keep running. the griffons will follow you forever, but the rockshots stop pretty soon.
first of all, i assume youre running a 55 hp build. wakl outside and die by the first devourer right outside the exit. you will respawn, and right away swithc your offhand to a minus 20 hp. you will now have 13 hp.
the skills i use are: mending, protective spirit, essence bond, balthazars spirit.
cast all 4 of those. you will have no energy regen, but gain 2 every hit.
now, wait for the minotaurs to wander by, run out into them and cast prot. spirit. stand around to gain energy, then continue on towards griffons, casting prot spirit to keep it up. when you get to griffons, let them all gather around you, and then cast healing breeze. breeze is important, so keep it up as much as possible. when they are gathered around all you, cast lava font and flame burst. those both recharge in 5 seconds, and you can basically cast:
lava font, flame burst, healing breeze, prot. spirit
keep doing this untill they are almost dead, then wait untill both fire skills are charged. cast them both, and MAKE SURE healing breeze is going, because as death points go away, you will get hurt faster. hope they all die before you do....and if youre careful, switch to the -50 hp item when you lose some DP
i dont recomend aggroing all griffins at once. just run to the first boss and wait there. you cant kill bosses easily with this build, but it works nicely on the regular griffons and is faster then a smiting build.
Edit: i reccomend running a 55 hp with this. ele runes are nowhere near monk runes, and the -50 hp item is easy to get. its the reward in the cities of ascalon quest.
Edit again: pm me ingame and ill show you

why not make a new character? seems like waste to me since you arent even using any Ele skills, but thats just me....
maybe put some points into earth and use Ward against Melee, or even earth quake, or maybe water magic and use Mist Form as your elite.

anyway ele farming is tuff now man. ether renewals nerf really put it down. 55 build is a good idea here. and try shield of judgement.
if that fails there is a topic around here with a pure ele farmer, might wanna try it

1. No, I'm not using 55 HP build.
2. Splatter - I know I'm not using any Ele Skills, I need Skill Points to buy a loada Elementalist, Monk Spells and Capture Signets, therefore farming = good xp for skill points.
3. I may try the 55 Build tommorrow, but I don't have a - HP item, anyone tell me one?

Hummm..take out B. Aura (foes run away) and kick in Shield of Judjement (Fairly hard to get, but it's worth. Everytime a foe attacks you, it get's knocked down and suffer's something like 40 + damage with 12 smiting).
Then you have to spam P. Spirit and Heal. Breeze every 3 seconds (with Zealot's). The 3 second is the limit time so foes don't run. Well, if you see you're dying spam both and the foes run away for a short time giving you time to breathe.
instead od Symbol of wrath (another AoE scaring foes), you could use a elem. one-time area spell like fireball or something.

Hot Dead
Take out symbol of wrath and put in phoenix, you will do extra dmg since you are being attacked in melee
