i keep looking at different sites but none of them say the same thing. some say that knight's set is +95, some say +100. one said +110. what equipment would be best for a warrior/elementalist?

also, does this sound decent:
rune of superior absorption
rune of superior fury
runes of minor swordsmanship, strength, and tactics
captains helm +1 strength
11 str (9+2)
10 swordsmanship (9+1)
10 magic
9 tactics (8+1)

1. There is no such thing as a rune of superior fury anymore. The only option you have there is a rune of superior vigor.

2. There is no such thing as a captain's helm anymore. You must be thinking of either the brute's helm, wyvern helm or platemail helm.

3. The best knights armor in the game provides an 80 armor level. And you only need one piece to provide the damage reduction all over your character's body.

My, Lord Xanael, you've been poking around a lot of old Guild Wars sites, huh?

As a W/E, probably go with +1 to your weapon attribute (swords: Duelist, axes: Executioner's, hammer: Dwarven), Knight's boots or gloves, and the rest Gladiator armor.

Also, it's more important to have a higher weapon attribute than it is to have a high Strength.

Actually if you use an elementalist realm to any degree, say 3 skills equipped, I would recommend weapon 12, element 12, tactics or strength the rest. Then use stances/etc from either strength or tactics. If you need the healing signet then tactics wins and strength gets the 1-3 left over points.

If you are playing w/ele, go all gladiator armor (for the extra energy), except for helm (which should be decided by the weapon you are using), and boots, which should be knights (for the dmg reduction). If you go hammer, you will want to put on stonefist gauntlets for the longer knockdown duration.

You will want a superior rune in the weapon you use, a superior vigor, and a superior absorption. Go minor for strength and tactics.

If non-hammer, you will want either a shield for more protection, or a focus item for the additional energy.

I get the feeling you've only just bought the game no, or perhaps are about to buy it?
In which case most of this information above is useless.
Just try not to worry about having the best armour, weapons etc yet, just play through the missions and enjoy it.
