Dear Sirs and Madams,
Last night, you engaged my guild in some GvG combat. As soon as I saw the tag iQ paired with BUS, I knew my guild didn't stand a chance. I told them who and what you were, and that we should continue to fight in our fun loving way. After the beating your guild gave us, I was left surprised, and overall feeling great. You see, unlike most guilds we've fought, you guys weren't sanctimonious, pompous jerks. You even went so far as encouraging us. It showed me (and I'd like to think my guild) that not all highly ranked guilds are filled with such jerks. You gave me something to strive for, and I thank you for that. That being said, one day, Idiot Savants will meet Order of the Grail again. And one of those times, we'll emerge victorious.

Indeed, it's nice to see that iQ are adults, unlike many top guilds' members up there. My guild's 20ish, and the top 20 always looked to me like the Kingdom of Spoiled Brats.

I had the exact same experience and response with iQ and BUS last night. It makes getting steamrolled a lot easier to take when a) it's done so artfully and b) it's done so politely. My admiration goes out to iQ for combining graciousness and ability - hopefully you'll be a role-model to the more a**holey guilds.

I am rooting for iQ to represent US in the championship for not only being nice, but actually participating in this forum to share some insight.
Rooting for War Machine also for not so secretive win screenshots (a lot of balls!!!)
BTW - can elite guilds stop forming all star GvG teams? We have come up about 3 times now with it consisting of 2-4 top 30 teams. Hard enough to not make it flawless for them, let alone with an all star team.

I'd also like to give my thanks to iQ being a good role-model. You are large and mostly friendly (I've seen only a few (understandable) cases where an iQ member isn't the epitome of polite), as well as winning your way to the high rankings by something beyond cookie-cutter builds.

I wanted to throw this out: Once the match starts, I turn local chat off (and push others to as well). It's not meant to be rude, but when it's game time you've got to focus, and that's one fewer distraction. It leaves very little time to socialize- a few seconds before the match and (hopefully) after we've won.
If you want to say hi or ask a question or get an extra word in, (hopefully not a flame, but we take the good with the bad) whisper one of us after the match. There's often a looong wait in between matches.

Shocking indeed. I only played with you once, a fair fight, you didn't totally own us but it was clear you had superior skills and teamplay. Not much talking, everything was veeeery silent, but it's not the first time I hear someone discussing about your fair-play...I don't know any of you well, I only had some nice pming with Scaphism about a couple of things, but that is all.

To Nefertem: let's be realistic, many guilds ARE as bad as anyone might like to portray them, the Sissy Boys-like old attitude (also called F.L.T.E.T., Fat Loser Teenager on an Ego Trip) has spread like a cancer in the top 20, glad someone is immune to it.

In all seriousness, I hardly ever talk in local chat, other than saying "gg". If jokes are to be made about the other team, they're usually done over vent. And shit talking....well that's always funnest on forums :P

In "Durance of Fate" We encourage guilds we dominate., I doubt ones that take us by storm need advice. XD, I am surprised how many people do not know of the catapults range. once wiped out an entire team after I explained tot hem they were walking into a trap. >_< And we discourage people that flame. For instance we faced a team in tombs today with 6 necros and 2 monks, The opposing team stacked many many hexes. With divine boon, holy viel and contemplation of purity I was able to keep up with it, but we ended up losing the upper hand, So I started dancing. Then one of them said "did you guys know you monks suck." I don't know weather that was because I was able to counter their hexes so well, or because they are just rude people.
