Glitch with new update (Devs plz read-not a flame)

I know everybody is flaming about the new update and even I grumble since I find great joy in watching a whole herd of charr burn in firestorm. However, it seems quite glitchy. When one guy is attacking me and I shoot Fireball he runs a few feet then returns. I understand them running in a over time AoE like firestorm, but its really odd they run from an instant AoE. Please discuss

I agree. I like the way the improvements are trying to make the enemy smarter, but in some instances its just silly.

Purhaps the enemy should only react to curtain AoEs. Watching the mobs react to EoE is funny, but its not smart and it makes this skill worthless in PvE. Also, maybe they should stop running once they out of the AoE and then contintue to attack. (instead of running off in distances far away from the AoE) Maybe run to a backline support where they run can heal up too.

This might be too smart given that mobs are several lvls higher and swarm in overwhelming numbers. The one solid advantage was that they where easy to control with good aggro planning. But now that this is harder, and by my suggestions even harder still, it will be intresting to see how teams create ways to overcome adversity.

I noticed that they would sort of teleport to a different area. I checked my ping and FPS and all seemed well. I dunno, maybe I was lagging or something, but anytime I hit something with an AoE to test it out, the would teleport to a different area and then run run run. *sigh*

Digital Bath, how did you check ur ping and fps? Oh and i noticed the glitch happens with fire arrows

Also, they dont always run. Typically when theyre attacking Alesia and she's feeling generous with her heal other skills.

A valid issue no matter what side one takes in the discussion of the update. It has been confirmed by a lot of people that this is happening.

this happens with me, and everyone else in my group when we went to FoW today. They would just instantly teleport around, run away, come back later while we're engaged...this just seems an overall bad glitch.

stone daggers make them run too - why - its not AOE not even close - same for aftershock - and fire and earth att are bugged now...

mobs radar is bugged as well - they can see prot bond monk even if she's wayyy behind me, ignore ma and run straight to her...

after ranger scorpios pop up in desert they're running like crazy all over the area, smtimes tele to ur location even if they werent on radar 1 sec be4, really buggy.

Though I totally agree with what you guys are saying, I think that we should just sit back a while and let ANet fix it. There are often glitches when they do updates, and generally they fix them pretty fast. Maybe we should give them our trust and wait a few days?

but we don't "have" the time when they run and aggro more then you can handle. This is an issue that needs to be solved now, not in the future, if I have to send a check to ANet for them to pay more salaries to FIX THIS I will gladly. This is a horrible glitch needing immediate inspection..

Agreed.

I was following the HUGE mob of Stone Summit next to IceDome and was waiting for them to continue their patrol so i can sneak by.

3 of them teleported in my aggro bubble.

You can guess what happened next.
