Having trouble with 'to Kryta: refugees' quest

Hey anyone know how to get the reward for this mission. The arrow and green star seem to be messed up...I followed the arrow through the ice cave (griphons something or other...) but I never could find 'ranger olsen' 
(or olson..) Anyone have any good clues?

I'm having the same problem. I've reset the mission 3 times and still no ranger.

I did the mission 1 day ago, and the Ranger was right where the marker on the map said he would be. Strange...

He gets killed if u take too long in getting to the gate where he stands.
You don't have to rush through the whole zone, but as soon as you see the green arrow turn into a star, you gotta boogie over, or the ranger will fold under them ettin clubs.

Yeah, this seems to be a problem with ludicrously low leveled NPC's placed near normal leveled mobs. Ranger Olsen is what, level 2? And the Snow Ettins are like lvl 11?

Well, yes, but by the time you get to kryta's gates you should already be able to handle those ettins so that they don't take down Olson...
When I got near Olson I tried to lure the ettins away from him. If you don't take tooo long reaching him as soon as he and the surroundind Ettins get inside your minimap's range, you'll be fine. Try not to skip packs of monsters on your way back so that they won't stall you near Olson.

The best way that I have found to remedise it is after you get the Quest Log update, you can leave and reenter the area if the major Quest person is unfortunately killed in combat. That way, when you reenter, you can get to the Goal star and the person much more easily.

When I wrote that I reset the quest I meant reset the map. I've come in from both sides and have slaughtered every ettin in the area. Maybe I need to go with one of you?
