Great Way To Use Grenths Balance (almost instant kill)

Here is how you truly kill someone in a matter of seconds:

Grenths Balance
Illusion of Weakness
Phantom Pain
Conjure Phantasm
Shatter Delusions
Clumsiness
Anything you want (Shatter Enchantment maybe?)
Anything you want (Res sig if you want, but its CA)

The trick is to max out illusion magic. See how much Illusion of weakness takes off, Through runes/mods configure your hp to be a couple of points higher than what Illusion of Weakness takes off, the closer the better. When the match starts and the two teams are gonna collide, cast Illusion of Weakness, then use grenths on closest target, or you can be fearless and go for whoever oyu want. After this spike, cast conjure phantasm, now cast phantom pain, after cast shatter delusions (watch how his/her hp drops like crazy) which is the second spike, then wand whats left which will be little if nothing if conjure cant finish, clumsiness is great here ensuring your warrior target's death

I'm not sure this would work. Illusion of weakness ends when you drop below 25% of your max hp, so I'ld think if you set yourself up to be nearly killed by it, it would simply counteract itself.

Along with that, I believe grenth's won't do damage over the amount it takes to get you to max hp , so even if you set it up to get your hp as low as possible with IoW, you'ld still only manage about 200 damage. Grenths is a nice skill to even the odds for you in a match, but as far as being a skill to make a build around, it's way to situational, and even under the ideal conditions for max damage, you're not likely to do more than 250-300 damage, and I think those numbers might be stretching it.

I do like the fact you're thinking outside the box though, this is definitely different.

But with right timing, and when it is played right, it is deadly!

Make sure to tell the monk to not heal you.

Old mesmer spike build (sorry if you had just thought it up), nearly exact same one mine used to run actually. I had it down to using a necro sacrifice skill + iow, which left me with about 15 hp, and then casted grenths. Was a nice ~250 spike which just comes out of nowhere. Finished off target with phantom pain + conjure, and used shatter delusions at the 9 second mark of phantom recharge, or if they were attempting a hex removal or heal.

Sometimes ended with a KO, sometimes not, but if worked in with a ranger or ele, target would go down very quickly.

Worked pretty decent because most Me/N are thought to be Fragility builds, and mine would usually confuse them as to how I got from a hit away from death, to kicking them in the face

Quite Vulgar [FUN]

i used something more evil than this before.

infuse health is the way to. took about 2 seconds to lower my life to nothing and heal my party at the same time. was very fun. you will always get the stupid monks that put breeze on you after you have said 10 times not to heal you.

if IoW does work this way than it only triggers when dmg from a foe is delt to you.

What happens is that lets say i started off with 375 hp. I use blood renewal, which is 33% sacrifice (I believe), which takes me to 250 hp. I then use IoW at whatever level I had it on, which took away 240 hp, and I was left with 10 hp for the Grenths spike. After the spike, if on a lets say 400 hp target, I'd have a total of 210 hp. The IoW heal bonus would NOW then kick in once my hp falls under 25%, which would be somewhere like 94 hp.

In short, if you use a sacrifice skill before iow, the heal doesn't kick in. It will kick in the next time you fall under 25%.

Lol I run this build non-stop it does work =), and what you do is cast IoW then cast GB on your closest target, like I said, if youre fearless then cast GB on whoever you want then do the cycle and this build kills EVERYONE right after you shatter delusions, you might have to wand him 1 or 2 times or use clumsiness, but you get the idea. What is golden with this build is that, you can do the second spike (conjure or just phantom + shatter delusions) anytime you want and when you are about to die IoW kicks in then you just wait until you get low life the cast GB and spike the next target, ownage period.
