Secondary Swapping vs. My Pet

So, pretty simple - I'm thinking of swapping to Me/N to try some new stuff, but as a Me/R I'm rather fond of my pet Stalker, Echelon. If I decide to swap back from a Necro, I'll still have the Ranger skills I bought/earned on that char, I think, but will I keep my pet?...

You keep the same pet - although you won't be able to access it as a Me/N since you won't have access to Ranger Skills.. and you need Charm Pet on your skill bar to have your pet with you.

However if you at some later stage switch back to a Me/R and equip Charm Animal you'll have your pet Stalker with you again.. with the same name and same level and same evolution as before.
