the rest is your personal choice, as this is all you need to get an army of 10-20 Fiends up and running all time..
Possibilities:
Death Nova "Boom Minions"
Barbs (for boss enemies)
Animate Bone Horrors/Minions (if you like melee minions, I dislike em)
Have fun minionizing ...

I used to combo Fiends with Veretas/BotM/Heal Area BUT your nrg gets reaaaaaaaaally low. 25/10/10/10- go figure. And, no, reaping isnt enough, and, no, u cant use oob to get mana, cause that spreads your skill points way too thin. Now I do full blows Death with the rest in Soul Reaping and just ask monks in the party to get Heal Area and help keep my babies alive. Monks can do a much better job than you can of keeping summons alive. I even ditched my Mo 2ndary for a Me. As for the bombing thing, it sooo hard to keep up with what's going on, it's gonna drive you crazy.

Offering of Blood is a mighty spell.. but yes energy management is a MUST for that skill set, but it is worth it since most monks dont have the time and or the experience to heal your army well enough.

I'm still working on my minion master and haven't gotten to lvl 20, but have most the skills I really believe I need for it already. I only need to get Offering of blood once I have enought att points to put in blood, but even without I have found this to work well for me. Here's what I suggest:
weapons:
Cane (req death, energy +12 or beyond, energy regen -1)
Max offhand item with energy +12
Good staff with skill regen mods such as Morgiff's staff
Att points:
16 death (w/ sup rune)
13 Soul reaping (minor rune)
the rest in blood magic
Skills:
Deathly swarm
Vile Touch
Animate Bone Minions
Animate Bone Fiends
Verata's Sacrifice
Blood of the Master
Taste of Death
Rez Sig
Note: I am considering inserting Offering of Blood somewhere to replace Deathly Swarm or Vile Touch, but as I said, I am still working on this build.
Ok, I have found great success with this build at raising large armies of primarily fiends that do lots of dmg quickly and keeping them alive. The cane with the extra energy storage is very essential even though it lowers your energy regen because once the army gets started, soul reaping will refill your energy about as fast as you can use it. A good staff can be switched to to regen energy and possibly get a quick skill regen or increased casting when energy is full enough to accomodate.
Offering of Blood may come in handy to regen energy once all have died and you are maintaining the minions.
For maintenance Use Verata's Sacrifice often and Blood of the Master only when the bones start to get old and need an extra boost to keep 'em alive while Verata's regens.
With this build I try to create mostly bone fiends, as they are quicker to attack, can attack at a distance and large groups of them don't get cluttered around a single enemy as large amounts of minions do. I do res minions occaisionally mostly as useful batteries and also to keep bones animated when my energy is maxing out from SR regen and Animate Bone Fiend is regen also.

I used to use Heal Area, but have ditched it so I can put all my att in death and soul reaping. Really, Verata's and BotM is all you need to keep your army alive. You will have to eventually let some die so you can regen energy, but with a good build you will animate more than die until you reach a large amount of bones.
