Just bought new ASRock MB with P4 3.2 and 2GB RAM. AGP slot. PCI Express is still pricey. I need the BEST AGP video card with Dual DVI Outputs that will run GW. I could care less about brand loyalty. Looking for stability and "bang for the buck". I could care less about benchmark test data. Basically looking for real life opinions on actual game play.
Keep locking up in the Altheas Ashes mission. Windows reports the error as "thread locked in device driver". I am finding out that the P750 isn't that great at 3D graphics. I am running 1280x1024, max on settings and no issues "usually". This is really killing me because I have tried 3 times to complete this mission. Same lock up towards the end.
Must be AGP and Dual DVI Output!!

Here you go. BFG offers lifetime warranty. I am using a 6600GT and it works perfectly, can run at 1280 x1024 all settings on high AA 4X.

The link I gave is to the BFG 6600GT OC AGP version with dual DVI. It is the only one currently available at Newegg.com

Get yourself a "Vanilla" 6800. Then, you can unlock the pipelines and other pixel shader, makingit a detuned 6800 Ultra. I bought one from Tiger Direct on wednesday, and recieved it on Friday. (I am still doing benchmarks, but last night I just played GW and loved every minute of it)
And cheaper than the BFG to boot. By the way, when you are unlocking the pipes and shader you can overclock your card by moving a slider.
I got the XFX dual DVI for $176, shipping included
Ohh yea, I run 1600 x 1200

Vanilla 6800 would be best solution right now. And not all manufacturers allow pipes to be unlocked, so be weary of who you get it from.
Unlocking shaders and pipes would be best option, but you need decent cooling.

I ended up going with the BFG 6600GT OC. I love the in game performance however the use in windows is less than impressive. When you drag a window it leaves trails and degrades the quality of the image. I run dual monitors at 1280x1024. Video BIOS version 5.43.02.41 and Driver version 7.1.8.9 (4/1/2005). Is there an updated driver and where do I get it?

You can get the all of the drivers at the NVidia site. If you use xp/2000 here is yout link, other wise you will have to surf for it.
It is my experiance that NVidia Drivers are not necessarily better if newer. I would change drivers until you find one that works with your individual card best. The newest one is not necessarily the best one for you.

I wish I could tell you wich one is best for that card, but I think that someone else would have to answer that.
I have an idea Techie. Why don't we start a knowlege base on which Driver is best for each series of card?......??....??
