I can't help but think that there should be one inventory slot for each raw material as I usually end up with more raw materials than direct usable items. Since the materials seem scarce later in the game (post-searing) why not have enough room for materials to equip yourself properly? I always run out of room because I find a new raw material or a new "collector's item".
The delivery boy missions also eat up one precious inventory slot thus compounding the problem further - you can't do a quest because of your weapon sets usually need 2 slots while your materials need 10-12 slots and the dye collection needs 3-6 slots (if you are lucky lol). I find myself ditching collector items and farming an area to meet collectors needs.
One more row would be all I really need pre-searing. Post-searing you get bags and runes so you can doulbe your storage to meet the double size of raw materials and collector items.

um...I've gotten way more materials in post-searing than pre-searing, so thinking they're scarce is way wrong. I would only be collecting what's necessary to craft the armor for my profession, and possibly some extra to sell for the money to craft the armor. there's really no need to use 10 slots for materials in pre-searing.

I never had a problem, but then I already know which collector items I need to be collecting vs. which I can just sell, since the collector in question doesn't offer anything I want. You usually encounter the collector pretty close to where things drop, too. For example, the skeletal limb collector is right at the entrance to the catacombs. You can talk to them first, and determine whether you should be collecting the item in question or not. It should be rare that you're actually keeping more than two or three slots filled with items you actually want to collect.
