New source of money
Charr Killer
what do people do for money now, with the update that stops farming in its tracks
i know that running might be easier because enemies will stop chasing now
after a while of chasing so droks runs will probably be the best place to get money but the price of runs will drop IMHO
if you have a place that you still farm like trolls or sumthing like that becuz they run slower

Farming hasn't been stopped at all, it's just a bit harder till people work out better builds for the new system then it will go back to how it was before.

Some monks love the update for farming (depending on the area).
As long as their scattering after every hit of Aura...Their not hitting you...And if their not hitting you - who cares if it takes alittle longer to kill them.

Farming hasn't been stopped...It's just more challenging now, and of course takes longer. My guildmate and I still do 2 man UW runs. We had to tweak our skills a little. It takes a bit longer now, but still doable.
Troll farming is old and rarely drops anything good. Unless you want to fill your inventory with Forest Minotaur horns and Raven staff, then by all means.

I don't think it has become more challenging, I think its become easier since it's slower (the only down of it) it is easier to stay alive and gives more room for error rather than the strict timing you needed to do the crazy farming of old. But some areas really don't take too much longer.

I also still do 2 man smite runs in UW just a little harder

Scenerio Before; 10 Black dyes in a day (pretend)
Scenerio After ; 5 Black dyes in a day (play along)
Is this concept incorrect?

The key is DEMAND. With the reduction of new players into the game, how much demand will there be, especially with all of the green weapons now available?
I would guess that the supply will start to decrease, but the demand will continue to decrease at a steady pace as well. You might see a short-term correction in prices (especially from the botters), but you won't see the inflation that we saw prior to the greens.

This isn't close to the definition of inflation. Inflation is the unwarrented and unbacked increase in prices based on factors that don't directly effect the supply and demand of an item. This also comes as the ability to purchase said goods is diminished. Neither is an accurate statement of the current overall economic situatiuon within the game. It is losely reflected in some items though (Flints Fleshcleaver, Flints Wand, etc).
Farmers don't dictate what prices are. The buyers do, don't fool yourself. Cuz, at the end of the day, if the shit ain't selling, its losing value. So, the price will drop to where it sells, to a certain extent. Availability can also effect price in a round about way.
However, prices of items WILL go up and down. As long as sellers base their prices for goods (dyes, materials, runes) on merchants, all is good. This will probably continue unabaited. The money supply, the regular players will contiue to demand that prices stay as low as is bareable to the sellers.
Weapons, mods and such will fluctuate as supply and demand ebb and flow with everything else. Zealous will continue to fall as ppl realize its not worth the hit. Sellers, however will continue to attempt to keep prices high for as long as they can. Like some buyers b eing insulted that most sellers are moving iron for 12-14g each. ROTFL!!!! If ya don't like that price, pay 19-20g per at the merchant, whinner!!!
Did that help clarify?

Inflation \in-'fla-shen\
An increase in the volume of money and credit relative to available goods and services resulting in a continuing rise in the general price level.

Your definition of inflation is incorrect.
PS. Ya I used the black dye as an example for anything that can sell in the game. We all know that since Anet fixed the merchant code Black dye on anything that merchs sell for that matter wont go sky high.

Considering I was farming with my W/Mo without AOEs or smites before (only heals), absolutely nothing has changed for me. I still farm, I still make about 2-4K per run, in about a half hour to an hour, sometimes in less time. This is with desert minos, rockshots, griffons, the trolls outside of Droknars, and for variety, the L10 minos outside Icetooth Cave (got a black and a silver dye off of one mob of them today).
I also prefer the smaller mobs, instead of aggroing the entire lot of griffons. Means I'm less likely to die.
So, if I can do it, why can't you?

A load of bullhockey, IMHO.
I think the only one of my characters who's been affected by a recent skill change is my mesmer. I can't solo farm Storm Kin outside of Seeker's Passage any more with the changes to Hex Breaker. And I was getting goooood drops off them. Ah well.
