Was looking for one for killing Mergoyles with my noob swordsman.

(I'm assuming that they are a type of gargoyle)

Never heard of one, and I imagine if you found one, you would be alot richer. I don't think there is, as there aren't many sorts of Gargoyles. Charr have many different kinds (Martyr, Blade Storm, Ash Walker etc etc), Dwarves have many (Stone Summit Heretic, Sage, all of the others) and Plants covers most of the jungle. Also, there is undead, which have heaps too. So that would explain why there is no Gargoyle, as there are only a few kinds of them. But, I could be totally wrong, and there could be a mod of Gargoyle Slaying lying around somewhere

Anyone know for sure if that's the case?

And might the gargoyles/mergoyles belong to a larger creature class that there is a slaying mod for?

No. There are a bunch of creatures that do not have specific slaying mods associated with them (e.g. devourers, griffons, elementals to name a few).

never seen.. & not sure if there are gargoyles/mergoyles above lvl 18 i believe
