Seems like those earth spells are really gonna be savers when they focus fire on you (which they will, if they're smart) and with all the chaos of battle, and constantly healing all your allies, Energy Drain seems like it'd be very situational at best.
I suppose you could go Mo/Me and depend on Protection spells for protection, but their not as good as the Earth spells, are they?
Mo/E better than Mo/Me for team/guild PvP battles?

Yes, once someone put a life bond on Mo/E... i just simply put armor of earth and ward against melee... that make me almost immune to all melee and physical damages. Then with healing breeze, the DoT are useless too... with remove hex you wont have too much hex problem. They can't even remove your armor of earth enchantment because you got healing breeze over it... Aside from all those... carry 3 set of different weapons... one with regular energy with 4 pip and a +12 energy thing... 2nd set, +12+15 -1pip energy thing... 3rd set +12+15+15 -2pip energy things... this way your energy management are also very strong... You equip 1st as normal, when you need emergency use of energy use set 3... then recover from set 3 to set 2 to go slowly back to nromal energy level and pip... then set 1 again. Oh yea, don't forget about glyph of lesser energy.
There would then probably only 3 skills in the game that can deal with you, while almost no one use those 3 skills...

Rats... I allready have a Elementalist/ Necro , but I think I am sold and will take Mo/E now instead of the Mo/Me... though maybe someone out there can convince me to take Mesmer ?
Whats good with a Mo/Me ?

What I find really alureing with Mo/E is the speed spell I read about somewhere? I havent learnt such a spell befor, does the Mesmer have something similar that can make you move faster?

There is a Mesmer (may be Elementalist, sorry if it is) spell that makes you run faster for about 10 seconds, and you become crippled for 15 seconds.
