It has a hell load of instances, that's what we in GW call dungeons.
And you can socialize in the entire game, even in a forest around a fire!

You are wrong, sorry.
The only possible way for GW to compete with WoW and the upcoming D3 is to have more perks than simply the fact of being free! So it must import the best ideas from everywhere it can, and from the players of course. Some may be hard or impossible to do but others are doable.
WoW has errors in the game that GW doesn't simply by the fact that we are all equal stuffwise and all you need to be a good player is skill and experience whereas in WoW, everything counts.
Anyways, back to the subject at hand.
The pub (pubs! please

) is a great idea for roleplay and socializing.
And yes, GW is an rpg (I would almost say it is a failed one but let's stay positive).
If the pub idea will be inserted in the game it should have the following feats:
1) Minigames, imagination...
2) FOOOOOOOODDDDDD!!! Drinks, sweets, chocolate marshmellows.
3) Special Quests, again imagination but it should involve npcs, and pcs giving quests and not always about fighting.
I'm growing tired of all these dumb quests where you and 7 other people or AI need to lay waste to the army of the roman empire just to get a stupid flower, a potion or etc. and then go back and give it to someone who is standing in the same place he was and is doing
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING AT ALL!
4) Sleep!!!!
Wth, I mean my warrior is a titan! running for 9 hours straight in an armor that weights 40 kilos at minimum (maybe it's a new type of admantium, always shiny, idestructible and lightweight) and he never needs to lay down, his right hand never feels tired of swinging a sword, an axe and of course a hammer. (No emote to swing other stuff, pfew!)
Did I mention he was running, new marathon champ, you should see him charging!
5) NPC activity.
All I see in every outpost, every village is NPCs standing still at a designated location. They don't feel real, they feel like a robot programmed to say Hello & Bye.
Take example on WoW where every trader has his own shop, walks around (faking) taking care of his merchandise. Also telling you that he has "da best stuff in da wouuurld", sometimes go out and yells for customers to come and check his new imported good. This is how a merchant should behave, not just stay in one place saying, "Please select an item from my inventory and press buy."
If you create a pub, which I highly doubt, this is the 1st thing that you should do, in the entire game, each chapter, each town, every cm square. And not just for GW2, also for GW1.
Oh and change the name pub into tavern or inn, make one in each outpost.
And since we want a pub/tavern/inn, why don't we make shops, real shops, real houses (!!) for the npcs that live in an outpost.
Check Fable out and you will see what it means to have an active npc world.
Sorry that my reply has more than just one idea ( against the rules I know) but it will make a small sweet idea something way more "monstrous".
