When I try to PvP in tombs everybody is looking for rank 3+ so that means I can't get into a group, and I can't get to rank 3 without getting into a group.
So it's a endless cycle of trying to find a group that accepts people lower than rank 3, beating the unworthy and then losing at the next match.
Sorry for the rant but I'm just mad at how PvP is toward casual players.
I just don't get it.....

I dont PVP alot, but if ya wanna try this it worked for me. Try PVPing in teams arenas in droks with guildies, or randoms in lions arch. My rank doesnt matter to me, but as a casual PVP player, when i get to rank 3, i will go to tombs and know if someone asks i will be rank 3+. honestly though ask yourself, if you are just a casual PVPer why go to Tombs as apposed to the other arenas? Fame? Glory? Money? IMHO if you want the glory you have to have the skill, and in my limited experience casual players wont last 5 seconds against the elites in tombs.

Raz, I sympahtize completely with you, and can tell you that the best thing you can do is find a guild to join that does frequent PvP. Just tell them you're rank 2. There are plenty of guilds out there that PvP a lot. I wish you luck.

Competing teams in Tombs are fierce. Everyone wants an experienced player to join their group, but most of the time they don't even know what that player has experienced. I did Guild vs. Guild and Team Arenas all the time with my old guild mates but seldom went to Tombs. We only held the hall for three rounds but that's better than not ever holding it at all. I still have a rank two from before and it hasn't gone up at all since I left. It's almost impossible to find a pick up group for Tombs so I told my acquaintances to let me know when they're up for it. Having connections is a good thing in Guild Wars.

ya i have that same problem/ the only way i can get in a group w/o having a rank 3+ is by changing my w/mo to w/r and being in iway. they wont even let my healing monk in cause im not rank 3+

Either IWAY yourself up to rank 3, or join a very nice Guild who's willing to take you in even though you're not (which you may or may not find.)
Those are the fastest ways to do it. Some people hate IWAY on principle and refuse to play it, but in doing so they are only hurting their own Fame advancement.

Well actually I'm in a very pvp oriented guild and a experianced player but groups only want rank 3 and above for IWAY or anything else.
And my casual player type means I don't play 24/7 just that I play every day.
And I'm becoming more and more pvp only. I was a medium hardcore pve player but now I'm balancing it with pvp.
And when I said I was mad about how it is for casual players, I know one in RL who will probably never be able to get to even rank 1. There is only so much that you can do with henchman.
And my casual player type means I don't play 24/7 just that I play every day.

It's one of the biggest flaws in the WaW system because it has humans involved in it.
A player could have a high ranked account, be Godlike at everything and be the most famous PvP player in the community...and yet he/she still wouldn't be accepted into a group if they wanted to "rank-up" a new account.
