Is it me or are there no good fire ele weapons?

the desert collectors give the best items in game for virtually nothing.
Fire staff: 10 energy, 11-22 dmg, req 9 fire, 20% improve casting on fire skills, 20% improved recharge on fire skills
Fire wand: req 9 fire, 11-22 dmg, improves skill recharge using fire magic skills, 20%
Flame artifact: (droknars forge weapons crafter) fire magic +1 20% chance using skills, health +30, energy +12, req 9 fire magic
I used those on my fire ele when i first started the game. I put an insightful head on the staff and found a fire magic +1 wrapping (18% chance) wrapping and those were the items i used and had absolutely no problems with my ele

Google to find out where the desert collectors are.
Go visit them to find out requirements. ie 5 behemouth jaws.
Beg, buy, borrow, steal, to get the items to trade.
Now you have the most perfect staff/ rod in the game.
Next, start collecting purple staffs to get upgrades u want.
ie +5 energy or +5 armor
Next, use superior salvage kit to acquire these upgrades, either head or wrap.
Next attach head or wrap to your new staff.
U got best u can get.

Guildwiki seems to be back up, although a bit slow. Also, we have a Collector thread here on the forums.
The main factor here is that he's level 10 and probably only in Old Ascalon or the Yak's Bend area. At that point in the game on your first character you pretty much take what you can get or buy something better, which you probably don't have the cash for.
Or join a guild (like ours!) that will help you out with such things!
[edit] Or try your luck with the Ascalon keys to see if something better will drop. Or the keys for the chests around Yaks, they're still cheap.

I was looking for some good weapons for my Pyro! Good thing i just arrived at the southern shiverpeaks!
Now i just have to start farm... HAEM! I mean kill the same mobs over and over to get the required drops with a full complement of henchies (to prevent my Ele from dying). And they will take about 87.5% of the drops.
Or maybe WTB...
Anyway, I should be done before christmas!
