On several missions, (with good pugs) the players asked the Rangers to load skills of opposite nature. For example Winter and Greater Conflagaration.
This is supposed to cause more damage, but I dont understand why?
My only guess is that the monsters healer can only deal with one condition at a time.
You would think these would cancell eachother.
Can some one explain?

Greater Conflagration changes physical-type attacks to Fire-type attacks. Winter changes elemental-type attacks, including Fire-type, to Cold-type. So with both of them up, you change physical attacks and all elemental spells to Cold attacks. In Hell's Precipice and other places with Fire-type enemies, it will increase the damage you do since they're weak to Cold-type attacks.

So is this more effective than 2 Rangers with winter?
Farin
It is indeed.

I would've thought only 1 Winter would come in effect..?
It can't change it anymore? Physical to Ice, Elemental to Ice, it can't change it anymore with 2 set up?

Ok now I think I understand. Its a convertion. Greater Conflagaration allows Winter to take advantage of the physical attack by converting it into elemental.
So all attacks are now elemental based , wich equals more damage because you are taking advantage of all the ppl in the group. Right?
