What's the real difference between Verata's Gaze & Verata's Aura?

Thanks for any answer.

gaze you can break the bond and then gain control of minion. aura makes them all go masterless (even your own) for duration of enchantment.
i used it one time thinking that if i died i can take control of my minions again. nope i ended up making my 2nd master in my party lose control of his fiends and they all killed us.
minion master can be completely countered by 1 skill with 0 points in death magic to make it work.

Skill tells you what it does exactly.........

Verata's Gaze only breaks the bond with hostile minions, not those of your teammate's.

Probably because it was stripped or the enchant ended.

So if there's 2 minion masters in a team and both have Verata's AURA:
1. One guy casts aura, does that make both of you lose both of your bonds with your undead?
2. The other guy casts aura, does that make the total undead become, the guy who casted it second, his minions again but with yours as well or do they still stay untamable for the duration of the aura?

Also, if the enemy team casts Verata's Aura, that would make EVERYONE's, on the playing field, lose bond with their minions and if you casted it right after that person casted it, would you gain them all back again?

1. No, only HOSTILE minions lose their bond. Hostile means those that hurt you. They then become your minions.
2. No, the seconds caster will not get your minions. They aren't hostile to him, so Aura won't work for him. It will work for him, however, if your Verata's Aura has ended, since all minions become masterless and hostile when that happens.
Use the edit button instead of bumping and posting the same questions over and over again, by the way. Also, the description of the skills tells you what the skill does. Read it.

Its been my experience, that veratas aura doesnt actually work though.
When ive casted it, no minions become mine.. none even go masterless...
is there a special way to use it

According to the skill descriptions:
Veratas Gaze:
Target animated undead loses its bond with his master, if it didnt have a master, you become its master.
Veratas Aura:
Take control of all hostile animated undead in the area for ... seconds. Once Veratas aura end you lose your bond with all your minions.
Never used both of the skills, but that is what they should do.

Gaze is a spell that is cast on a trageted minion to be converted to you; it last until you die.
Aura is an enchantment that affects minions in the area of you; it last until it ends, either by removing the enchantment or waiting for it's stated time.

Or, an easier answer is, one is pointless, the other isn't

That and the skill descriptions are on the site, and comments posted below for discussion. Wow I'm not even that lazy =p
...well, not all the time.

When using Verata's Aura, the colour of the minions will not change to the colour of your team. The minions' name will stay the colour of the enemies' team. However, you can see that the minions are actually being controlled by you, because when you try to attack them, it will say invalid target.
Darkpower Alchemist
I have used Verata's Aura. This spell works for hostile, masterless minions only. I used it against the Necrotic Horseman in the Black Curtain. This being said, I believe that V-Aura can be used against Minions that are masterless only. To take control of a mastered Minion is interesting, but I have not attemted it yet. I'll try more scenarios and post my findings.:cool.
Darkpower Alchemist
Ok. Just used V-Aura while in the midst of 4 Necrotic Horsemen with minions. They were still standing, and I took them under my control. This means, without a shadow of a doubt, that MMs are vulnerable in both PvE and PvP situations. Your minions can be taken over by an enemy Necromancer,as long as he has Verata's Aura. This is an awesome piece of knowledge to possess IMO. Now,to test Verata's Gaze.:coo:
Shinigami God
These both look pretty cool. I'm probably going to get one of them, which one is most useful? I'm planning to be MM if that helps. Also, I heard that there was a spell to take control of all undead in the area, minion or not. I seriously doubt it, but that would be REALLY awesome. Imagine a bunch of Hell Hounds, Necrotic Horseman, Grasping Ghouls, etc. as your minions ^_^
