The smell of scum and sea filled the air, adding even more aroma to the already noxious field of corpses. "Jarvis! Get your feathery carcass over here, right now!" Sharky's pet parrot obediently flew over to his master's outstreched forearm. "Yes, Master." He took in a long slow breath, as his crew gathered up the loot left behind by the passengers of the ship they had just taken over. "Captain, we got a survivor here." A lone monk lay in a pool of his own blood gasping a prayer to Dwayna. Sharky limped over and bent down to look him in the eye." "No healing prayers allowed lad. Captain's orders." Sharky swang the hook he had for a right hand into the monk's bald forehead. The crew squirmed in empathy as a geyser of red erupted into the sky. A grim silence fell over the ship. Captain Sharky was as ruthless a pirate as had ever lived. jarvis squawked. "How much did the pirate pay for his earnings?" The crew groaned in anticipation. "A buccanneer." Sharky laughed, and the crew followed along. "Aye Jarvis. They weren't cheap. You always tickle me funny bone." One of the young crew members emerged from the ship's cabin. "Captain, we found the ship's log. This ship debarked from Lion's Arch." "It also says that the White Mantle has been destroyed, and their unseen gods defeated. This ship was carrying adventurers to new lands." The captain laughed. "New adventures? They do not need to travel across the ocean for battle. We shall take the battle to them. Send word to the armada. We will pillage and burn Lion's Arch to the ground. Liven up mateys, we're going to war." |
