Profession Combo Names (e.g. W/Mo="Paladin")
Aidan Gawain
For a while, people have been referring to Warrior/Monks as "Paladin"s. This gave me the idea of making names for all of the profession combos. Here they are, sorted by primary profession:
Elementalist:
+ Mesmer = "Magician"
+ Monk = "Sage"
+ Necromancer = "Sorcerer"
+ Ranger = "Hermit"
+ Warrior = "Wizard"
Mesmer:
+ Elementalist = "Conjurer"
+ Monk = "Advisor"
+ Necromancer = "Charlatan"
+ Ranger = "Troubadour"
+ Warrior = "Strategist"
Monk:
+ Elementalist = "Elder"
+ Mesmer = "Priest"
+ Necromancer = "Mortician"

+ Warrior = "Crusader"
Necromancer:

+ Mesmer = "Seducer"
+ Monk = "Gravekeeper"
+ Ranger = "Predator"
+ Warrior = "Reaper"
Ranger:
+ Elementalist = "Druid"
+ Mesmer = "Bard"
+ Monk = "Dunedan" (like Aragorn in the first part of LOTR)
+ Necromancer = "Trapper"
+ Warrior = "Guerrilla"
Warrior:
+ Elementalist = "Shock Trooper"
+ Mesmer = "Commander"
+ Monk = "Paladin"
+ Necromancer = "Shadow Knight"
+ Ranger = "Rogue"

Oops...I just noticed that this is probably the wrong forum for this thread. If a mod finds this, please move it to the appropriate forum. Thanks, sorry about that.

Awesome. Very creative, congrats.
Caster of Neverwinter
Alternative names should be offered.
Aidan Gawain
Okay. Any suggestions?
Caster of Neverwinter
Warrior/Necro: Blackguard.

Any other suggestions?
Caster of Neverwinter
Monk/Warrior: Zealot!

Quite a few of your names are incorrect. If you go to create a PVP only character it will give you a bunch of preset character options in which it has names. For example...Mo/E is 'Divine Healer' rather than 'Elder' as you have stated.
Your post is no doubt creative...I am just trying to help inform you. :P)

I was just giving alternative names that could be used for builds. And future ones maybe. I dont quite check the PvP stuff.

Warrior/Monk that uses only war hammers should be considered a cleric

Ranger/Elem should remain Ranger. It follows the ideals of a Dungeons and Dragons Ranger rather well.
Dunedain is a people, not a class. They were human in most aspect but had a longer lifespan. A sort of "pure" human.
Warrior/Monk should be Cleric.
Taranis
Elementalist/Warrior should be called Warlock insteat of Wizard...

Why is Mesmer/Elementalist a conjuror? What do they conjure?

Devs, if you implement this, the idea was originally posted by me, not him.

Posts like this have been around since about last august on other forums... I hope it never happens, it'll just encourage sterotyped play.
JAGeAkurei
switched some for what mine would be for this section
Elementalist:
+ Mesmer = "Psionic"
+ Monk = "Channeler"
+ Necromancer = "Eldritch"
+ Ranger = "Sage"
+ Warrior = "Spellblade"

Ranger:
+ Warrior = "Guerrilla"
Warrior:
+ Ranger = "Rogue"
I think those two should be switched around.

"Tracker" = Expertise, Beastmastery, Blood Magic (my current character)
"Trapper" = Wilderness Survival, Death Magic
"Bonemaster" = Beastmastery, Death Magic
"Hunter" = Marksmanship, Blood Magic
For a generic R/N title, how about "Stalker" or "Nightstalker"
Some names that I'm afraid no one with a command of the English language would want: Hermit, Charlatan, Mortician and Herbalist.
Also, "Shock Trooper" and "Guerilla" are modern terms that are somewhat out of place for the setting. How about:
Warrior/Elementalist = Knight
Warrior/Ranger = Raider
Some other ideas:
Monk/Necromancer = Sacrificer
Necromancer/Monk = Thanatologist
Monk/Mesmer = Prophet
Mesmer/Monk = Channeler
Ranger/Monk = Shaman
Monk/Ranger = Druid
Elementalist/Ranger = Stormcaller
Elementalist/Warrior = Battlemage
Necromancer/Mesmer = Dominator / Dominatrix (latter might not fly with the sexual associations)
Defafnyr
Awesome idea!
Yuji Storm
These are pretty good.. mind if I borrow some for my profession synthesis topic? ^_^
RTSFirebat
I really do like and support this idea, would better then seeing nothing but "E/Mo Lvl12" or whatever over someone's heal... a simple "Warrior Monk Lvl12" would look much better.
