It's all preferential, really. I like Swords for effects <like bleeding, cripple> and whatnot, while I like axe for fast group damage <axe cyclone, deep wound, evisc, cleave, whatever be your poison>

Like I said, it's all based on what you like. I'm more comfortable with axe in some areas, and swords in others. Hammers I use in PVP for true interrupts and damage.

Hope this helped.

It depends on what skills you plan on taking as a main-tank. If your toon's primary function is to soak up damage as a main-tank, then I'd recommend going sword with Riposte + Deadly Riposte + other defensive stances in your skill bar. Otherwise, anything else is fair game.

Take your pick, they're both good.

But I will say this:
If you're going to be a tank, get yourself a +5 armor mod for your weapon. Ignore the HP mods and go straight for the armor (armor > HP).
Added bonus: it's MUCH cheaper for some bizarre reason, despite being better.

COLD, Cold Snap

I'd go for hammer :>. Earthshaker->Aftershock is what I like in PvE.

I'll agree with all but one point. Armor CAN be better, but if you have a Sup rune in for ANYTHING or anything with -hp, I'd suggest using FORTITUDE for whatever weapon you'll be using <or another skill set with a vampiri axe/sword/hammer>

My 2 cents.
