Scammer: IGN: Khorky Whin

Not sure which forum to post this, but thought I should get the word out even if the forum is wrong.

Here is what I reported to ANet. If any of you know this guy, you'll do what you do. I would ignore any "friend" of mine that did this.

The name of the character being reported: Khorky Whin

The name of the character you were playing at the time of the encounter: Help Medic

The time of the incident (with time zone): 11/18/2005 9:18PM PDT

The name of the map zone where the incident took place (or even the location within the zone): Lions Arch Dist 1 at Storage

A description of the offending action, dialogue, or name: Khorky Whin scammed me during a trade for a Fellblade. We organized it so that I would have his armor and would then give him 200k. Then I'd give him mine, his and 100k and he'd give me the fellblade. Then I'd give him the last 100k for my armor back.
When it was time for him to deliver the fellblade, he insisted that I give him 50K, his armor and mine to hold, then 100K with the sword, then 50k for my armor. After much dialogue he threatened to not finish the trade. I was stuck because he already had 200k of mine, so I decided to rish the additional 50k. I gave him the additional 50k, my armor and his as he requested.
Total loss: 250K gold and my armor with runes, etc. However, I accidentally did not give him back his chest armor and still have it in my inventory. Screenshots are attached. Please get this scamming player out of the community.

Any other details that you feel are relevant:
There is another player named "Big Whin". He usually trades high-value items as well. There may be some relation between the two. If you need any other information, please do not hesitate to let me know.

That suxm you should trade items like that through MCS. Good thing you reported him/her to Anet, i hear they are quick and will help you out, they wont return your losses but will ban him/her for some time.

So thats why he rejecte my 600k items offer when he only wanted 350k....

my question is y on earth did u go through all the holding this and that for the item. you only do that with friends, maybe. That was a huge set up just waiting to happen, more than 100k should be payed in some other material (like ectos) so its one time trade and theres no probs.

I feel for you man hard luck hope anet sorts issue.But as above post says this hold this hold that was deadly supsect the moment it started.Learn from this start investing in ectos/shards for 100k+ trading.

anyway trading armor is a great way transact expensive weapons between one another, usually you would do this with 15k armor set, or even better fissure, how its done is you trade your armor for 100k, then you trade the weapon of question for another 100k + the armor back.

theres a better way if your buying.

basically you give the person 100k + x amount of ectos equivilent to the price of the weapon, then you buy the ectos back off that person for gold.

for example, to buy a ecto from mechant is 16k, to sell ecto to a merchant is 11k, so theres a 5k difference, the person is not going to buy ectos @ 16k a peice, just so the seller can sell them @ 11k, so there is quite some loss in gold, so yeah buying the ectos back is a good idea.

not sure if you understand that but yeh. haha

hmm. he wanted to sell it to me for 50 ectos.
