Ok, I see that similar monk rods with the +5 energy bonus (while health is above 50%) are worth from 30-60k. Does the casting speed bonus increase the value at all?

Its worth about 15-20k I would say. Usually a monk would not have high enough death magic to use it. And a necro can't use divine favor. Maybe if you have a minion master it might be good.

it's useful as long as the monk never wants to hit anything... which is quite common for a monk that would be using a lot of divine favor...
