I only ask because so far I have recieved no help.

I am having 2 problems, the first is when I am in a town where it is MMO the game will just freeze. Nothing else, it will stop the sound and everything. I minimize the screen and have an error report to send to Arenanet saying an error in GW.exe

The second happens in both areas, MMO or in the places where it is restricted to solo or small groups, the game will turn off and I will be left with the error report screen and an error in gw.exe

My specs are:
P4 3.0ghz
Asus p4p800se mobo
1gig pc3200 (2 512 sticks)
Radeon 9800pro 128mb
integrated sound
80gb western dig hdd ide 8mb cahce 7200rpm
windows xp pro

My video and sound drivers are all up to date, I have defragged my drive, spyware/virus scanned it to death. I play cs:s, hl2 with no problems. I've reinstalled all my latest drivers to be sure.

aside from reinstalling the game, and then windows what else do you guys suggest?

Try downloading previous ATI Catalyst releases, as the new ones aren't really all that great.

I highly recommend the 4.12's or 5.1's.... Google them up and you should be able to find them quite easily.

If this doesn't work, update us! And if it DOES work, update us!

OK so following the advice I recieved from guildwars support I turned all my graphics settings to the absolute lowest. It didn't help.

I reinstalled the game, it didn't help.

I decided I would run an SFC /Scannow on my system, it seems to have detected some corruption so I will try that out and report back any details.

Still no go, I also msconfiged my system right down to 0 except for windows services and still no go. I am waiting back from guildwars support to see if they have any ideas.

looks like a problem with my dual channel ram, im gonna try switching it to single channel when i get home and if that fails allocate more voltage to ram.
