Hi all
at the moment i have a lvl 13 mo/me. I have basically been doing all the normal quests and have got 3 or 4 new town areas. The other day i went back to ascalon city and found a new type of quest with a cut-movie scene that seemed to carry on the main storyline. I had to team up and fight some charr.
Are these quests different from normal quests? Should i carry on with these quests? im a bit confused
thx

YES! This is a good thing! You have found the 1 first Mission of the game, and you are right, it does advance the story, but you have many more such missions to come. Don't worry about another searing - you will be able to return to where you are now freely - so don't worry about leaving some quests unfinished.

Welcome to the real game... Mwahahahahaha

There are subquests and then there are the missions...Mainly, the missions carry on the main storyline as you have figured out, and the the quests, I like to call them subquests, can get you simple quest rewards and experience to level up your character a little quicker...And they can also get you some skills for you character...It's all up to you really how you want to do things though...

yeah, all the towns with a white badge as the map icon are mission towns, they all give you 1k xp, and all advance the game/story, definitely do them

There are plenty of "mission" towns with the post-searing gameplay, as that's the main way to progress in the storyline. If you're referring to "The Wall" mission, that's the first of many you'll be able to enjoy if you like missions/bonuses.

Like posted above, Welcome to the REAL game =)

If you have it, you could also read the manual and the controls foldout thing. It has lots of useful information that even experience players don't know - the command to hide the UI, for instance.

Aye, I studied the manual thorough before playing <on the ride home from the mall> =)

Also, for more stuff, check through your "Menu" option in-game, lots of nice features there, like resetting commands to certain keys. =)
