This is officially my first posted build:
Slyder's:
I'm Gonna Git You Sucka, PVE build.

After getting a couple replies on my question for ranger builds for Sorrow's Furnace, I came up with a pretty reliable build I think I'm gonna stick with:

Expertise: 10
Wilderness: 12
Markmanship: 10

-Favorable Winds
-Kindle Arrows
-Dual Shot
-Quick Shot {E}
-Distracting Shot
-Lightning Reflexes (optional)
-Troll Unguent (optional)
-Rebirth (optional)

Runes: 4 major Vigors right now, and a Marks. This is completely customizable.

Bow: Sundering Longbow of Shelter [max dmg, dmg + 15% if health above 50%, armor pierce 10% (chance: 9%) , armor + vs phys., customized of course.]

Basically the idea behind it is to focus on one enemy at once, and without any AOE skills/spells, the mobs don't go running off like madmen all the time. With FW and Kindle stacking, it does pretty good damage. I open with a duel shot, then spam QS watching to interrupt w/ distracting when it's necessary.

And I realize a lot of rangers out there might use something similar, so im not taking credit for the build, but rather just looking for feedback. Thx.

I'd take out something for Tiger's Fury and use Whirling Defense instead of Lightning Reflexes, it lasts a lot longer. I'd also try to get at least 13 expertise for sustainability.

It looks good to me, obviously it works best for you. My rangers build is a little different; I use what works best for me. It usually consists of:
-poison arrow-E
-kindle arrows
-penetrating attack
-savage shot
-distracting shot
-whirling defenses
-troll unguent
-restore life

I change skills around depending on which area I'm playing in. Favorable winds is a favorite of mine for areas that it is worth using. FW is definitely not for use in SF though.. summit rangers will pick you apart then Anyway, rangers have so many different ways to dish out damage, it's amazing.

Okay, a few pointers:

Expertise at 10 doesn't really doing anything here. The cost for 5 and 10 point skills is the same at expertise 9. So you decrease it to 9 or increase it to 13 so Quickshot becomes a 2 point skill. For a nice overview of expertise breakpoints check: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/content...sts-id1154.php

I wouldn't bring favourable winds to sorrows. Unless you're in a team with loads of rangers, the enemy will profit more from it. (There is a lot of rangers amongst the stone summit)

It has allready been said that vigor runes don't stack so switch them for runes that will increase your attributes.

Try tweaking up your marksmanship to 12 or higher. Your bow is at 100% effectiveness on that level of marksmanship. Can't find the article explaining this concept, so you'll have to believe me on my word

Your skills set seems decent, the optionals are allso usefull.
Some extra options would be:
- Use tiger's fury to increase your attack speed (Even with 4 points in Beast Mastery, this skill pays off)
- Seeing rebirth in your skill bar, your secondary must be monk. You might want to put some points into Smiting prayers to grab judges insight. It's an enchantment so it stacks with kindle increasing your damage output.

Maybe I'll think of some extra things later.

Hope this has been helpfull, cheers!

Lemme guess you don't know that you can only get 40 health bonus(1 major vigor = 40 health) out of all of them and you have no clue? Change them Sup marks, minor ws, minor expertise, and a minor beast mastery.
