I've been there 3 times on my way to r2[98]. I usually play R3+ IWAY though, (as leader 
, im a sneaky bstrd). Too hard getting in good groups with my E/Me and my PvP Ranger spiker doesnt work cause I can't get on ts/vent during weekdays.

Gratz on the hall visit, I remember my first time it was pretty sweet, and yes it was in an IWAY team too!!!!! *shock and horror*
*edit* We didn't win either but it was still pretty neat to be able to say that I had been there and none of my other guild members at the time could.

I Run a Rank 6+ Iway group with my friends everyday, And believe it or not, We win Halls Atleast once a Day. One time holding for 5 turns, I'll post some screen shots later.
It sickens me how everyone think Any old Iway group is noobish, When you get a team of 8 skilled players who use their tactics to out smart and over power opposing team then you have a great team. It is not the build tha matters. Its all about skill Infact, from experience I learned it was 10% Build, 40% tactics and 50% skill. So don't Blame anyone in Iway for being a noob. They are just as hard to run an experience one as any other build If planned right, And can Kill any group if you play right. No more busting on Iway. Grow up.

I wouldn't attribute that little to the build. If you're running a bad build, it's a bad build, no matter how skilled your players are. Tactics? Halls has become a contest of diplomacy, where you convince the 3rd team to attack the OTHER guy, and not you. That's not tactics, it's coercion.
If a group with no healing can protect their ghostly enough to cap, let alone hold an altar, it's not so much you winning, nearly as much as it is the other teams completely forgetting you exist, and winning by blind luck.

With all the Degen/interrupt/energy denial builds that are the new flavor for holding builds, about one of the only builds that stand a chance to win halls is a good IWAY. We have run a moddified IWAY before and were suprised as to how well it worked and how effective it was. IWAY does take some skill as you have no healing to keep your ghostly up or to heal your other party members besides IWAY, so its not just as simple as hack and slash like most people think....
