I tried dying my 15k scars on my Necro but nothing changes. If you can dye tattoos, why not scars?

You sure it isn't a graphic glitch? I see plenty of dyed scar patterns on necro 15k, my guildmates among them.. Odd you can't, I agree, maybe it's a technical issue.

Do you have a male or female Necro?

I have a female necro, used orange dye to make sure the dye changes were visible. Scars still stay black . . .

Sounds like it might be a bug - have you tried logging in and out of GW to see if that fixs it? Or maybe even rebooting your computer?

If niether of these change the fact I'd suggest buying some cheap dye, taking a screenshot of your armor as it currently is (while wearing it) then applying the new dye to it.. take another screenshot showing the armor with the new dye on it.. and then submit a bug report providing both of the screenshots as proof of whats going.

Hmm, maybe orange dye on scars = black scars? I know tattoo's dye differently to normal armor, maybe scars is the same?

I love your rank of posting. "G'day, Mate!" =) made me smile.

And you're right, it can be a bug or simple as dying scars can change the base color into black....

You're right, I've only tried dying scars with orange so far. Lemme try some other colors . . .

AncientPC - I'd suggest taking some screenshots of the various "dye's" you put on the armor and submit a bug report - it sounds like it's either a graphical glitch or 15K scars are un-dyable (but I can't comment as I don't know if they are dye-able or not).. either way submitting a bug report is the way to go.

I, myself, feel it doesn't it make you any more experienced if you have black or gold, pink, or blue..It's not the color =) Although some people tend to believe this; I put nothing behind it.

Hmm, i would say it's a bug or just the dying system. As the others have said, not everything dyes to be that exact color. But you tried other dyes and still got black. I dont have a necro so i cant say, but it sounds like a glitch.

wrote to support and they said.

"Thanks for contacting the Guild Wars Support Team.
We appreciate you sharing your concerns with us on this potential issue. We have determined that this issue is not a bug, and that the game is working as designed."

just so you all know, that is the response that i received. so it is a feature not a bug.

15k scar patterns are not really dye-able. I thought it is common knowledge? Only the outline gets dyed. Watch very closely while you add a dye.
