Their comics never are.
The author's an X-Box fanboy. What do you expect?

Inane attempts at humor and fart jokes.
Also, I have an Xbox, and I still don't find their shit funny.

Did you happen to notice the DATE on that comic? 2004.05.14. Maybe things then weren't exactly as user-friendly as they are now? Perhaps at the time, the comic was actually true? Can someone who's been with GW long enough verify?
24 Nov 2005 at 11:06 - 8
Not really funny. Even if it might have been true back then which I doubt.

Its, like after the pre-sear pvp. they got all those NPC's, but send in a dumb one to help you(Prince Rurik).

........comics r supposed to be funni.
24 Nov 2005 at 18:38 - 13
I think it's not considered funny since it pokes fun at our game.
I think it is funny, because I can see the truth in it.
Ever done the quest where you escort the 3 fully armored guards from Ascalon city to the gate? Or how about the one when you escort the lost caravan back to piken square? If any of those fools decided to lift their weapons and fight I think I would die from shock.
But it seems once you leave the Ascalon area the npcs seem to get an IQ boost.

I don't find it funny either. I don't know about others, but I think it's boring because it's not my kinda humor I guess. I don't mind them making fun of a game I like, if only it's done well. I don't think this is.
Great artwork, bad humor.

I think it's more like the pre mission where you gotta gather the eggs in the cave, and that baron dude is standing outside in full armor and then sends the retard in with you to get eggs, while you fight everything.

I've been playing since April. Renegades have never (Read: NEVER) been
hard, regardless of class.

Then I guess there's always someone whose first experience with the game is a bad one. Just so happens that someone draws a comic about video games

Since its dated from May 2004, I'm guessing it was made based on E34E. If my memory serves me correctly, back then there was a quest where an NPC wanted your 'help' to clear out a bunch of bandits or something. A bunch of soldiers are there with that NPC, but he sends you, a player with about 5 minutes playing experience, in alone to fight. Back then there was no pre-searing Ascalon, the game began in post searing, with a quick mission that involved getting your starter weapon out of a chest, and then going to Ascalon City. All you had was your starter weapon and a few skills given to you when you chose your professions.
I think the situation in that comic is exactly what happened to me then (I was even a Ranger). I did find it quite amusing when I first read it a while ago.

Well, at least we now know who are the people in this forum who are utterly tactless.
As it was once said... Light travels faster than sound. That's why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.
Right, Sister Rosette?
25 Nov 2005 at 11:12 - 23
It wasn't that funny.

Right, Sister Rosette?
Congratulations, you just made me laugh more than the comic did.

Indeed, not very challenging at all.
25 Nov 2005 at 12:47 - 26
lol I like it. Most of Ctrl-Alt-Del's comics are funny though. That quest reminds me of the one where you have to escort Farrah Cappo to kill the Bandit boss. She does pretty much nothing, and you have to keep her alive.

That's enough to remind not to communicate with people below my level. Thank you.

I used to think that CAD was hilarious. Then I got to know the artist.

But yes, they are almost always funny, but I don't think that one is.

That is by far the worst comic I have ever seen... where's that D&D comic??
25 Nov 2005 at 22:26 - 32
The guy usually makes ones of the better web comics there are. However, he should be shot, burnt, and hanged upside down for his use of colors.
