Which necro armour is better?
1 pages • Page 1
the 70 AL armor will provide all around better armor vs everything except Piercing (5 AL short of Bonelace) and Holy Damage (since you take double damage vs Holy Damage).
Personally, if your not going to be facing a lot of enemies dealing Holy Damage.. or not going to be facing loads of piercing damage (ranger type's).. then I'd go with the 70 AL armor as it will be better for you. However, if your going to be dealing with many enemies which deal Holy Damage or pure piercing damage then Bonelace is the way to go..
So whats "best" really all depends on what you'll be facing...

Whatever armor you go with (situational for role you want to play and look you want) might I suggest forgoing the boots or scar pattern in that set, and trying on a lovely set of Blood-stained boots. They not only improve ability to use spells that rely on the corpses of your enemies, they look good with all sets, even scars.

For my necro, I prefer the scar pattern armor which gives a bonus +7 energy beyond what you normally get on other necro armors. I find that having more energy is a greater benefit than having more armor as a necromancer. |
Now, if you specifically will be hunting ranger types, or people that do holy damage, you may want to rethink.

I really wish my new necromancer was able to get the Bloodstained boots to test whether they actually do something or not. I've seen people posting they do help, and seen people saying they don't help. Although iirc Ensign posted sometime ago stating they didn't do anything.. *time to search the forums...*
