In this thread, I want to hear some of the luckiest items, drops, runs and salvages you have had during Guild Wars.

On a run with a guildie, I went to grab a Krytan chest with a hammer wedged inside. Once I identified it, It had a +27 grip of fortitude on it! No joke! I managed to successfully salvage it and sell it for quite some gold ingame.

Another run was taking guildies from Copperhammer Mines to the Granite Citadel, then running to the Deldrimor War camp. At first, we went to the Granite Citadel with no successful drops or anything, but after a recovery and a stockup we went to the next location, the DWC.

What happened next was unbelievable. I found a rare item in a chest on the way to Grenth's, and killing a boss dropped - for me - 2 mesmer uniques! after killing more hordes, I got the next chest and a Rare Dwarvern Armor dropped out, again for me!

When we got to the War Camp, I was gobsmacked of seeing what I managed to get. Sure, some of them were crap at the time, but one of them was jealous for a few days that nothing good dropped xD

It was a good run from start to finish though

My monk got a sup. Absorbtion during thunderhead keep. We failed the mission, but it encouraged me to hang in there and put my warrior (whom I hated with a passion) through the rest of the game in order to get her droknars armor and use the sup. absorbtion. (yes I REALLY wanted knights armor).

Now hoping to get fissure for her (and that the rune salvages out ok) and then finishing ring of fire etc.

The day they made mobs flee from AoEs.

The bitching that ensued on this forum and in the game was funny beyond
mere words.

Could you explain that a little more, or talk about a Lucky run or something? *points to first post*

I've gotten really good drops even though I play with henchies most of the time. 2 sup vigours, +30 hammer haft and black and silver dyes.

This one person gave me a max gold crystline sword with a 19% dwarven slaying grip on it.

The luckiest thing would be getting 2 sup runes of vigor consecutively (yes i kill one and i got it, then i killed something next and got other)
My friend, well she lucky i gave her my rockmoulder (old one) b4 i knew or cared the worth. :P (i know she didnt sell it)

For me, the 5 ectos in one solo run in UW. 2 Sup Vigour runes from one go in Thirsty River, and then there's the 5 green items all for me in a SF farm group!

Plus i guess the fact i've only really been in one or two rubbish PuG's for FoW/UW recently...

got through thirsty river on the first try, thinking that it would be just a capping run.

Haven't finished the game with my only character, a Nec/mes. But fancied trying out different skill sets, so went monk secondary, and took two warrior henchies into Elona Reach (1st part only) for a bit of minator bashing. Second time round, gold staff drops, followed by a black dye (my second ever). Head back to Lions arch to try and sell it, spot someone selling Morgriff's Staff for 1k, so I buy it.

I hacked tombs.

Best drop evar.

I was around Bergen Hot Springs, about to run a guildmate to Temple of Ages, we'd just left and were standing around outside. I got bored and attacked some random skelteton archer, and lo, he dropped me a shiny Superior Absorbsion.

That rune payed for a good few of my characters to live a little.

Got a max damage Shocking Cleaver of Fortitude +28 health, with +15% damage while health is above 50% for 30K off a guildie... going to keep it for now, maybe sell later.

That and going in SF with Dovona and Lina and getting 4 green drops... and then bragging about it to all the warriors, monks and elemenalists who refused to take little old Ranger like me along ha!

One person i play with bought a vial of black dye from pre-searing for 200g

Last night, about midnight... well, ok, one more smite run. Excellent group of four; got me an ecto, an Insightful Ghostly Staff of Defense (max, 10 blood) and a few other golds.

I have simple needs. I was (and still am) quite giddy.

Edit for Clarification... trapper run on the smites. My ranger has a new staff.

Holy @#$% what a drop. I'm sure your team was just thrilled about that.

Well... Went to fow to get Fissure armour for my Necro and this happened..




hahaha, Id been told leather squares for the cultist set, Not ELONIAN leather squares.. Ooo i was annoyed All in all pretty funny though.Going for Necrotic set now, as one nice person on team gave me some shells SO i could at least get the gloves.


But the best thing I got, was 4 black dyes during a griff run, along with a 15^50 long sword ^^

Got a Malinon's Shield during a 5 men farming run... and a Vokur Staff when i got bored and farm with full group of henchies.
