This isn't a price check or rarity issue, I was just wondering if there is possibly a gold shield out there with better stats? The enchanted -2/+45 is almost but not quite equal (for my uses anyway) but is there such a thing as -2 dmg always or something like that? I've never seen one for sale here I would prefer using to my stance shield.
I feel like I'm looking for Bigfoot.... Sightings or even pics would be awesome. Thanks.
ps - I once had a -3 dmg shield but it was only around 3-4% chance, not really helpful
Is there a better shield than -2/+45 collectors?

There is not -2 always without a chance(-%). As for a better shield it would be which you prefer, +45/-2 enchanted or +45/-3(10%) IMO.

You can have a -2 damage while in stance or enchanted, and -3 damage while hexed or up to 10% chance.

If you never find yourself dropping below 45 health, well then you're really just using a shield with -2 damage. Some players prefer to have shields with -2 damage while enchanted and -2 damage while in stance. In the long run you may find those shields to be a lot better since:
A) It reduces damage that a high AL couldn't prevent (Spiteful Spirit, Empathy, etc...)
B) Having -4 damage on a character that will be taking a lot of hits (in a PvE context anyway) is very useful. Stand in a 10 second Firestorm and you've just taken 40 less damage. Similar to the whole +5 armor or +30 health upgrades. The +5 armor is always in effect constantly reducing damage, whereas the +30 health only kicks in when you're about to kick the bucket.
You may also find shields for specialized situations. Shields that can give up to +8 vs. certain attacks or types of enemies which works out to something like 10% damage reduction (correct me if I'm wrong).

The stats can't be better, if you're considering the collector's shield and Malinon's green shield are when enchanted and in a stance respectively.
But! There are gold shields with lower requirements, I have seen req 8 strength and tactics instead of the previous examples, both with req 9.
