I have a Nvidia GeForce 6800 and it is green and has a fan on it and is not in one of the three slots on my motherboard. Does that mean it is integrated?

If it's not in one of the 3 PCI slots then it might be an AGP graphics card. They have their own separate interface slot. If that is the case then it isn't integrated.

Take a picture so people can see what you mean, but from the sounds of it, it's in your AGP slot like it should be.

Nah, but don't plan on using it on battery. Read the reviews and people are only getting 1-1.5hrs batter life (which is not enough for me).

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if you physically buy a seperate video card, it isn't integrated.

Im a merc.

Look where your monitor wire attaches to the back of your pc. If its at the top near the usb connectors and what not its integrated. You showed a picture of an actual video card which means its seperate from your motherboard.I know integrated the actual word means part of something but what most literates consider integrated is something that comes with your motherboard when you buy it.

Well as Unamed was saying.....integrated, as in an integrated graphics processor, is referring to a type of motherboard that has a chipset on the mainboard specifically dedicated to processing graphics. Usually these are inferior chipsets that can handle 2D graphics fine but choke on anything more complex. There are certain NForce boards that are an exception this but those cost considerably more. If you have a card that is attached to the board (well, it may SEEM attached) most likely you have a stand alone graphics processing card.....such as the GeForce 6800. The common ones these days plug into the AGP slot which is slightly offset from the other slots on the board. Most modern systems (less than 2 years old) have a seperate GPU.

Its not integrated. Its connected to your agp slot judging by your "art". If you can take it out of your computer its not integrated. Integrated means that its part of your motherboard and you cannot remove it. If your trolling this..its pretty damn funny

It's not intended - but admit I get "techie" too easly (or a least by me). I'm was a part time pc tech and now do It phone support (non-scripted). For this threed and your other one it sounds like your doing a "upgrade" via parts. Computer keep changing drastically and a lot depends on what you have / what your going to replace.

Happy Thanksgiving, eat lots of good food and be safe.

(edit) Didn't mean for the tone this message has. I will try and help you as best as I can.

No, but you can give one to your elderly relative as a body warmer, must be quite warm

Battery life sucks, sadly an hour at the most.
