What kind of machine do i need for the following screenshots

Hey all, I just wanted to know what kind of machine I would need to play the game so that it looks like the screenshots on the following link:

Does anyone know what kind of gaming rig (specs) they used when they took those screenshots?

I currently run a Dell XPS Gen 4 gaming rig. The game plays perfectly, with very minimal slowdown, but I would love to play the game looking like that.

I highly suspect that when you take a screenshot I think it buffers frame by it self. I notice graphics shimer for a sec when it takes a screen shot.

if this is what you have it was probably better (or at least as good) as the machine that took the screenshots

Think ur prob might be that you have a dell. =\ not my first choice of gaming computers, then again, I build my own. But, if your not inclined to build your own computer, I'd suggest going to your local computer shop (not any name brand shops), and tell them exactly what ur looking for in a puter.

Hmm...I have a Dell Dim 5100...maxed out.....runs perfectly. Graphics are simply jaw dropping.

AMD 64 3800 dualcore, Geforce 6800GT 256MB, 1GB RAM. At 1280x1024 GW runs at about 70-170 frames per second at full image quality and with 4x antialiasing. These are some screenshots:

The game is just gorgeous.

Your Dell has an ATI X800XT graphics card, and AFAIK *should* actually be slightly faster than my card. However, I know that the ATI 5.9 and newer drivers run may very slow with GW, so if you find that you can not set image quality to max without the game running unacceptably slow, try installing an older driver. My X850XT PE runs it at 90 to 110fps constant, 1280X1024, max details.

My X800XL PCIe card is running 1600X1200 4AA with Guild Wars. It never gets chunky. My drivers are actually older. I never updated them so I could play CIV4 without too many hassles.

That is another story....they released that game much too early.

I run this game on two of my home pc's. One being a laptop and the other being a desktop. I get graphics like that with my home pc and its extremely outdated i think. My desktop is an AMD athlon xp 1800+ (actually runs at 1.5) with only 512 ram. GPU is an old geforce 4 ti 4200.


Even with all that crap and on my 17" i can run it at 1024x768 full graphic settings. Of course the way you maintain your pc and how much junk processes you have running in the background can change your pc load. Either way, Id say this game runs on very low end pc's and it doesnt take much to run it flawlessly, as you can see on my desktop setup.

To me, Guild Wars doesn't seem like it requires a lot of graphics power to attain good results. I assume an ATI 9800 is all it would require to get graphic screenshots like that. Just remember to jack up all of your settings to max.
